Chitwanix OS Version 1.0 with codename ’Kaade Vyakoor (Spiny Babbler)’ is an Operating System developed using Linux Kernel. The naming convention of this OS is based on Nepal Recognizing Names with the sequence of Nepali Letters क(Ka), ख(Kha), ग(Ga) … with changing versions.

Its a customized OS from Linux Mint OS where Linux Mint OS is Derived from Ubuntu Linux OS which is derived from Debian. Chitwanix OS is developed for all Linux Users from geeks to newbies. The OS is fully focused to Nepali Users taste and requirements, seeking their day to day computing habits.

Chiwanix OS is Free Open Source Software which could be used as alternative OS to Windows and MAC and works like other Linux Distros. Chitwanix OS official release in Software Freedom Day 2013 (SFD 2013) from Chitwan and Kathmandu, Nepal.
