Political Geography (Research Group) PolGRG Call for Session Sponsorship - RGS-IBG Annual International Conference 202
The Political Geography Research Group (PolGRG) of the RGS-IBG is pleased to extend an invitation to sponsor sessions at the next RGS-IBG Annual International Conference. 

This year's conference will be chaired by Professor Patricia Noxolo (University of Birmingham, UK) on the theme of Geographies of Creativity/Creative Geographies. It will take place at the University of Birmingham and online from Wednesday, 27 to Friday, 29 August 2025. Submissions for the conference close on Friday 7th March 2025. Full guidance for proposing and organising a session can be found here: Annual Conference 2025. 

The deadline for the session proposal submission is Friday, 7th February 2025. Please submit your session proposal through this form. Sessions may take the form of presented papers, panels, practitioner forums, discussions, workshops, or something else. Innovative formats are encouraged. Session convenors will be notified in due course as to whether or not PolGRG will be able to provide sponsorship for your session.

Call for sessions, papers and posters - RGS. The deadline for session proposal submissions to PolGRG is  17th February 2025, 17:00 (to give us time to review the proposals before the final submission deadline set by the RGS). This year we would be interested to sponsor sessions which directly address the theme of this year 's conference 'Geographies of Creativity/Creative Geographies', or address questions related to political geography (political ecologies, space and power, conflict and security, coloniality, social movements, citizenship, political economy, territoriality, states and the state system, racialised politics, sexual politics, politics of religion). This list of themes is an indicative one, but we are happy to sponsor sessions which are innovative, and radical and encompass key emerging issues. 

Sessions may take the form of presented papers, panels, practitioner forums, discussions, workshops, or something else. Innovative formats are encouraged. Session convenors will be notified in due course as to whether or not PolGRG will be able to provide sponsorship for your session. Please bear in mind that each session cannot occupy more than two slots in the whole programme.
