The location is at 9th Ave, Hibernia Bar gives you easy access to one of the most lively and well-known destinations in the Big Apple. Only a stone's throw from both Times Square and the East Side, we're also within a minute's walking distance from numerous subway lines. Our position makes us a great pitstop for both locals and tourists.
It's the Birth of Hibernia Bar
Our tale is one of perseverance and hope, which was born out of the shared vision of friends. Four comrades from Arizona, California, Scotland and Ireland, found themselves at an impasse, faced with unemployment. The closing of the 8th Avenue bars, where we had worked hard to perfect our craft through the sale of a city block resulted in us being unemployed however not in despair.
In actuality, this challenge was the spark that ignited our collective passion. We decided to turn a hiccup of luck into a blessing in disguise. Our path led us to the 401 West 50th Street, just off 9th Avenue. This is where we turned our dream into real, opening a neighborhood bar called the Hibernia Bar.

At Hibernia Bar we're convinced we're more than just running a bar, but creating an enjoyable experience for all. We feel extremely privileged to be a part of the many memories that are made during the clinking glasses and the roaring cheers of our bar. It could be a gathering of friends or a proposal made during a bar session, the celebration of weddings or the welcoming of new generations or simply giving a sympathetic and ear to you - we're proud in being part of the story you tell.
