For the 2014-15 school year, the Chicago Public Schools Department of Career and Technical Education (CTE) is striving to offer:
     * Industry Speakers for every requesting CTE high school teacher
       
CTE students are studying and pursuing specific career paths in addition to all regular CPS graduation requirements. Along with job shadows, internships, company site visits, mock interview, speakers are a vital part of our work-based learning continuum.

   a)  Unfortunately, CPS is unable to pay for speakers volunteers or reimburse their mileage.
   b) All initial scheduling will occur through email (our small CTE Partnership Development team does not have the manpower for phone calls).

SPEAKERS
Speaking engagements typically take place in October during the school day at a school location.  The CTE Partnership Development team will work over the summer to match volunteers with the requesting teachers according to their needs and your expertise.  

Teachers return to school and get their schedules in late August (sometimes their schedules may continue to change for the first few weeks of school until enrollment is finalized). We will share the availability of matched teachers for speakers by early- to mid-September so that we can finalize the date/time according to your availability.
