Another area addressed in the policy is Coordination and Partnerships.

LISD departments and programs collaborate to promote family engagement and provide educational resources and translation support.

This includes:

●Consultation between Title I principals and the Federal Programs department to support the appropriate use of funds for family engagement activities and resources.

● Support for preschool programs such as Parents as Teachers to promote early childhood education.

● Coordination with Special Programs departments, including Dual Language Education, Special Education, Career & Technical Education, Section 504 & Dyslexia Services, Career & College Readiness, and Advanced Academics to provide families with information sessions and resources throughout the school year.

● Partnership with Leander Education Excellence Foundation (LEEF) to provide resources that support schools and enhance students’ educational experiences.

● Collaboration between the Global Language and Culture Department and Dual Language campuses to provide services and support to parents and families for English language development, family literacy support, refugee/recent immigrant support, and translation services.

These partnerships help ensure that families have access to information and resources across the district and that family engagement is supported throughout the school year.
