We had scholars in Charlotte, other cities in North Carolina, South Carolina, Illinois, and Maryland. For those that needed a laptop, we shipped one to them to help with the Digital Divide. We obtained the laptops from E2D. Scholars learned Python programming, artificial intelligence, an introduction to Electrical Engineering, Raspberry Pi robot rover, computer architecture/open source software, and solar energy. They also participated in an Entrepreneurial Prize Challenge and a Hip Hop Prize Challenge. Monetary prizes were awarded to the winners of these challenges. We provided stipends to all participants to help improve economic mobility.|
Hack & Hustle Academy has also been working with a team led by Seth Ervin and the Charlotte Mecklenburg Library to develop a solution to provide a Wireless Internet Service Provider (ISP) service to provide a more comprehensive approach to reducing the Digital Divide by providing laptops and broadband Internet.

I am interested in growing my capabilities. I work in a tech field, have two Master's Degrees in Technology-related areas and build computers for a hobby. I am working on another Masters at UNCC in Communications and want to concentrate in digital inclusion. I am very good with tech and have a real desire to expand network connectivity (both conceptually and literally). I am open to all volunteer opportunities in these areas and have tutored in CMS (volunteer certified).||Helping people find and acquire affordable technology, Helping people with basic digital literacy skill training|
