Audit instructions for Centres
2
Last updated: 31 January 2020
3
Due for next update: 30 April 2020
4
5
How the audit is organised:
6
This audit has 5 separate colour coded tabs at the bottom of this spreadsheet : UK-wide; England; Wales; Scotland and Northern Ireland
7
All Centres should check grant opportunities both on the UK wide tab and on their specific country tab
8
Centres can then filter within their country tab for a specific region. This can be done under the Country / Region column. There is also a County / Area column to narrow it down further - you may need to use the search tool to narrow down further
9
Grants have been split into 3 x values: Small (under £10k); Medium (£10k - £50k) and Large (£50k+)
10
11
The UK, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland tabs have the charity names organised alphabetically under column A
12
The England tab has been organised in terms of regions (not alphabetical)
13
Centres can also filter grants under specific categories: eg. Digital inclusion, Children and Young People. Opportunities which cover several categories are marked as 'General'.
14
If a deadline is within February 2020 it will be highlighted as URGENT! in the deadline column. Please do check deadlines for yourself as sometimes funders close funds early or change the deadlines.
15
16
How to use filters:
17
18
Click the small arrow to the right of the main letter at the top of each column (eg. Column A, B etc.) then select 'Sort sheet A-Z or Z-A)
19
Or you can select the columns you'd like to filter and then click Data - Sort column by...
20
If you have permission to view a spreadsheet but not edit it, you can still use filter views:
21
You can create a temporary filter view that only you can use. Because you don't have "edit" access to the spreadsheet, the filter view won't be saved.
22
Only users with permission to edit a spreadsheet can create filter views that anyone viewing the spreadsheet can use.
23
*To filter by Region or Area etc. highlight the top of the relevant column (eg. D County/ Area), then click Data in the top menu then Filter views then Create new filter view.
24
Then click on the 3 green lines under the top of the column and select the relevant word you'd like to filter it by - eg. London

* Please note - This is an ongoing audit so if you are aware of any grants not included in this document please contact the Good Things Foundation
