IllinoisPoetryBones Online Writing Group10/17/201910am-12pm, Central Time PoetryBones is an international group of writers, turning up weekly for live, online writing practice. We didn't get this posted in time to invite others, but today we wrote on the prompt "I Am From" in company with #WriteOut 2019. Our "crowdsourced" poem reveals qualities of landscapes and places that have defined each of us, but we also pleasantly discovered common threads across space and time. We'll post earlier next year!See our "crowdsourced" poem at POETRYBONES.COM

Journaling Station - Thomas Edison kept a diary for a week where he wrote his observations on the world around him. A journal can be about how you feel, what you see, or even something that you’ve been thinking about a lot. Journaling can help you focus on certain activities or relieve stress. Take a look at some of Edison’s entries. Can you create a journal entry about what you see happening around you? Remember, journaling is whatever you want it to be, there are no rules to your creativity!

Scavenger Hunt - Find examples of some of the writing that went on in Edison’s lab complex! Can you connect writing with running a successful laboratory and manufacturing facility? Win an Edison postcard for completing the entire scavenger hunt!
