8 | An extra-inning thriller between the two top teams in the Greater Metro Conference resulted in the Lancers pulling off the upset over Marquette. Chuck DiPiazza delivered the final blow, sending one through the left side to bring home the winning run. Luke Langjahr continued to dominate on the mound, tossing 6 2/3 innings of scoreless ball while striking out seven. Noah Dreier relieved him and kept the Marquette offense off the board, punching out four in 1 1/3 innings to earn the win. 10 | Another close contest between these two Big Rivers teams tipped in favor of Hudson, who took the lead on an RBI single from Wylie Baumer in the bottom half of the sixth inning. Pitching was the key for Hudson in this game, as the Raiders benefited greatly from an impressive start from southpaw Ben Berkhof and clean three-innings in relief by Logan VonBerge. Berkhof allowed one earned run over four innings, striking out nine and holding River Falls to just three hits. 12 | The Big Rivers conference is providing plenty of entertainment from top to bottom, as the Warriors pulled off the walk-off upset over Eau Claire Memorial in extra-innings. After tying things up in the sixth on an error, Rice Lake forced free baseball and won it on back-to-back doubles by Matthew Juza and Tyson Lapoint. Sophomore Easton Stone punched out nine in his start, twirling five innings of two-hit ball without allowing an earned run. Lapoint relieved him and kept Eau Claire Memorial off the board to set up his walk-off knock. Roman Trapani struck out eight over 6 2/3 innings of three-hit ball, failing to allow an earned run in his outing. 23 | After Westosha Central beat this same Burlington squad a couple of days ago, on a walk-off single, the two teams battled again on Thursday. In this close contest, Westosha eventually came away with the win in extra innings. Going into the fourth inning, Westosha was down by just one but after an RBI single from Jack Rose, an RBI double from Seth Brankey, a hit batsmen and an error, they finished the inning with a three-run lead. Burlington did not go down without a fight though, they battled back and eventually the game went into extra innings. In the eighth inning Scott Schulz came up to the plate with a runner on third and ripped a double to right field which put Westosha up by one. Schulz then was tasked with closing out the game and delivered, giving Westosha their 10th win of the season. | ||||

Riley Klar also had a solid day at the plate as he logged two hits to drive in three runs in the contest.
