Thomas Curry and Ethan Hindle each also added in two RBIs while both collected two hits in the contest as well. The aforementioned Vargas also got the start on the mound for Arrowhead and over his five innings of work he tallied seven strikeouts while allowing one run on two hits. With the game tied 0-0 in the seventh inning, Carson Peeters smacked a solo home run to lead off the inning and putting Kimberly up by one. After getting another runner on, Brayden Pleau hit a sacrifice fly and made the game 2-0. Allen Leitner kept up his dominant season as he added in yet another quality start. Leading the way offensively for Eau Claire North was Gabe Richardson and Jonah Hanson as they each collected three hits and one RBI in the game. Sam Feck also put together solid game as he drove in two runs on one hit for the Huskies. On the mound, Jalen Pascal was dominant over his six innings of work for Eau Claire North. Menge started and dazzled through 5 1/3 innings, punching out six and scattering two hits before turning to Matuszak, who finished the game off with a clean 1 2/3 innings. The Wichita State commit got the start for Marquette and he twirled a gem over his five innings of work in which he scattered five hits and tallied five punchouts. Sam Wronski and Michael Zidanic each threw a shutout inning of relief as well and combined to give just two hits. Offensively, Max Stocco was the main run producer as he drove in three RBIs on a double for Marquette. Andrew Halser also put together a solid day at the plate as he drove in two run on one hit to lead Marquette to victory. | ||||

The Turner bats started off hot as they put up four runs in the first inning on an RBI double from Connor Hughes, an RBI single from Cal Ries, and a two RBI single from Mason Hoenig. The aforementioned Hughes finished the game with three hits and two RBIs as well. Reis also put together a solid overall day at the plate as he collected one more hit and drove in three runs to pace this Turner squad offensively. Michael Cook earned the win on the mound for Turner due to his efforts over five innings. Ethan Bauerschmidt and Ryne Lesnik led the Trojans' offensively with two hits towards the top of their lineup, while Simon Koziol pushed two runners across in the win. After pushing two runs across in the sixth on back-to-back RBI groundouts, the Lancers forced extra-innings and kept their victorious hopes alive. With the bases loaded and two outs in the bottom of the 10th inning, sophomore Aren Robinson peppered a hard ground ball back up the middle for the walk-off winner. Offense was scarce in this game, largely in part to the impressive pitcher's duel that took place between each team's starters. Ryan Karst struck eight out across 5 1/3 innings of one hit ball for Brookfield East, while Brookfield Central's Matthew Mueller retired 17 batters via the K, pitching 7 1/3 innings of three-hit ball. This was certainly one of the better matchups we've seen across the WIAA thus far in 2022. | ||||
