4 | In this extra-inning thriller, Mukwonago took down Janesville Craig to advance to the sectional semi-finals. It was Janesville Craig that go on the board first as Patrick Schork would come home on a passed ball in the second. Mukwonago would then answer with two runs of their own on a RBI double from Brandon Burge and a RBI single from Alex Jacobi. The Indians would then tack on one more as Jacobi would continue his stellar performance as he smacked a RBI triple in the sixth. Janesville Craig had some work to do now, down two with just two outs left to play. In the sixth inning, Craig's Aiden Schenk led off the inning with a triple and was eventually brought home on a error. Joseph Stried would then come up and drive in the game tying run to send this game into extra innings. Neither team could get anything going until the 12th inning when Logan Hansen smacked a RBI triple to break the tie. Mukwonago would then add on their lead as Hansen would come home on a past ball. Now with the lead, the aforementioned Burge came back out for his third inning, and continued his shut out efforts as he cruised through the heart of Craig lineup, to earn the win for Mukwonago. | ||||

7 | The redhot Vikings continued their charge back to the championship with a 5-1 win to advance to the sectional semi-final. On the mound, Luke Miller was stellar for Denmark as he twirled a complete game gem. It took Miller just 81 pitches to get his 21 outs and he tallied nine strikeouts, leading this Viking team to the win. At the plate, Miller also put together a solid performance as he tallied a trio of singles, driving in one in the process and he also scored a run as well. Abe Kapinos was also a key contributor as he drove in a team high two RBIs on one hit. Rounding out this Denmark offense was Ethan Ovsak and Owen DeGrand who each collected one hit and one RBI to lead this Viking squad to victory. Denmark will now await for the winner of the Waupaca and Xavier, which will take place on June 2. | ||||

9 | What a game it was between two of the top teams in division-2 went head to head with the winner moving onto the sectional semi-finals. After giving up two runs in the ninth inning on a Logan Baumgartner two-RBI double, Mosinee had some work to do with the season on the line. Mosinee led off the inning with Trevor Garski single, which was followed up by a single from Drake Grod, to cap off their four hits performances. Eventually, both Garksi and Grod would be brought home on a wild pitches to tie the game up. After two walks and a HBP, Davin Stoffel would come up and deliver a single to bring home a run and give Mosinee the major win. Before these late game heroics, Tanner Unertl, Gavin Obremski and the aforementioned Stoffel would all grab home runs. | ||||

11 | Pewaukee came out with the win over a tough Catholic Memorial squad, to advance to the sectional semi-finals. Leading the way for this potent Pirate offense was Logan Schill who grabbed two hits and finished with two RBIs. Nick Doubek also continued his solid season as he tallied a double and a single, finishing with one RBI. Doubek also picked up the win for Pewaukee due to his efforts over five innings in on relief in which he tallied five strikeouts to shut down a solid CMH lineup. With this win, Pewaukee was crowned regional champions and will take on St. Thomas More next week. | ||||

13 | Kettle Moraine Lutheran edged out USM, the 1-seed in their regional, and advanced to the sectional semi-finals. The Kettle Moraine Lutheran bats came out firing as they scored a run in the first inning as Brady Hermany led off the game with a single and eventually scored on a passed ball. In the bottom of the third inning, USM would score one of their own after Vidal Colon ripped a RBI single to tie the game up. KML would then respond with a run of their own as Landon Hagenow hit a sacrifice fly to bring home a run. This run would be the difference maker as starting pitcher Jack Rechlica was dominant in his complete game efforts. Rechlicz led this KML team to victory as he held a solid USM lineup to just one run and also tallied eight punch outs. | ||||

15 | Despite being down early, St. Thomas More battled back to grab a 4-1 win, and advanced to the sectional semi-finals. STM would get there scoring started in the bottom of the fourth inning as Kyle Alivo hit a sacrifice ground ball to tie the game up at one. In the inning that followed, Brady Johnson would hit a sacrifice fly that broke the tie with only a few innings left to play. STM would get scrap two more across the board on a error from the RL/PS defense. These would be all the runs that STM would need as Eli Niemiec was dominant in his start. The righty allowed just the one run over his six innings of work and also tallied 11 strikeouts. Isaiah Malison would come in for the final inning and shut the door, to give STM the win in this close regional matchup. | ||||

17 | Drew Peterson had all the right stuff working for Jefferson as he twirled a gem in their regional matchup with Columbus. It took Peterson just 88 pitches to get through his complete game efforts as he scattered just three hits and struck out nine. Offensively, Jefferson could only muster two hits, but did take advantage of some Columbus errors to scrape across their two runs. In the fourth inning, Tyler Butina would lead off the inning with a walk and would eventually come home on a wild pitch, to score the first run of the game. Jefferson would then add one more in the sixth, as Tanner Pinnow would score on a fielding error, adding to their small lead. | ||||

19 | The Crusaders took down a solid Edgerton squad to advance to the sectional semi-finals, backed by a dominant performance from Steffen Mello. Edgewood road Mello to the finish line as he was super efficient, throwing just 69 pitches through his seven innings of shutout ball. Offensively, Leo Koenig was solid as he grabbed a double and also scored a run for Edgewood; Joe Hartlieb also recorded a double as well. As for the scoring efforts, Luke Thompson, Ryan Drumm, and Preston Yaucher all drove in a run a piece to lead this Edgewood squad to victory. | ||||

21 | Despite being the lower seed in the regional, Rice Lake cruised to a dominant 12-1 win over Bloomer. Leading this potent Rice Lake offense was Alex Belongia who tallied four singles and finished the game with three RBIs. Easton Stone also grabbed a three RBI game and recorded three singles. On the mound, Christian Lindow and Easton Stone combined to limit Bloomer to just one unearned run. Lindow did the heavy lifting as he struck out eight over his five innings on the mound. Stone piggybacked off of Lindow and was equally impressive as he fanned four batters over the final two innings of the contest. | ||||

23 | After upsetting the 1-seed, Notre Dame Academy continued their playoff run with a thrilling win over Luxemburg-Casco. In the fifth inning, Micah Marzec got NDA on the board as he came across the plate on a fielder's choice. This was followed up by a RBI single from Landen Lozier and a bases loaded walk that extended NDA's lead to three. In the seventh inning, NDA scraped two more across the board on a two RBI single from Evan Duncan. These final two runs were important as Luxemburg-Casco would score three of their own in the bottom half of the seventh, but this late push wasn't enough as NDA came out with the win. | ||||

25 | Shawano edged out Seymour to advance to the sectional semi-finals. Shawano would grab a small lead early on a fielding error from Seymour, to put them up by one. Seymour would then tie the game up as Will Debruin would smack a double to bring home one. This tie wouldn't last long as Andrew Popp came in clutch and smacked a two RBI single to cap Shawano's scoring efforts. Besides the one run, Ashton Henning was solid for Shawano as he logged 10 strikeouts in his complete game gem. | ||||

27 | Dodgeville starter, Dillon Garthwaite was solid in his start against Sauk Prairie as he earned the win and helped advance Dodgeville to the sectional semi-finals. In his six innings on the mound, Garthwaite allowed just one earned run on two hits and punched out seven. Trenton Reddell came in for the final inning an notched the stress free save as he did not allow a baserunner. Dylan Wasley drove in Dodgevilles only RBI as he tallied two singles. Despite not logging an RBI, Dalen Rickard was a key contributor as he scored two runs while reaching base with a triple and a single. | ||||

30 | The Amherst Falcons continued their undefeated season as they took down Shiocton in Regional Championship game. In the win, the Falcons grabbed the lead early thanks to a RBI double from W Blaskowski which extended Amherst's lead to two. After an error, Matt Glodowski smacked a two RBI single to make the score 5-0 in just the second inning. Shiocton would then go on a run and answered with three runs of their own to cut Amherst's lead to two. This wouldn't last long as Landon Moe would come up with two runners on a delivered a bases clearing double to put Amherst up by four; Moe would eventually be brought home on a sacrifice from Glodowski. Amherst's final two runs of the game would come home on a RBI double from Wyatt Blaskowski and a fielder choice Tyler Soulsby. All these runs were important as Shiocton would go on a late run as they scored two runs in the final two innings but Ben Lee would settle in a get his final three outs to notch the save for Amherst. The aforementioned Blaskowski would also earn the win on the mound for Amherst as he allowed just two runs over his five innings of work and tallied two strikeouts. With this win, Amherst now has nearly a week long break until their sectional matchup with Kewaunee. | ||||

32 | A top team in division-3, La Crosse Aquinas definitely played like it as they cruised to a 8-0 win over Whitehall to advance to the sectional semi-finals. On the mound, three Aquinas arms combined to shut out Whitehall while allowing just two hits. Kahler Key got the start for the Blugolds and did most of the heavy lifting in the contest as he struck out six over his five innings of work, allowing just one hit. Will Deets Eddie Peters each threw an inning of relief, and kept the shutout intact and combined to get five of their six outs via the strikeout. Offensively, Calvin Hargrove led the way as he went a perfect 3-for-3. which included a double, and finished with two RBIs. Leadoff hitter Jackson Christenson also was a key contributor as he homered and singled, finishing with two RBIs as well. With this win, Aquinas has earned a nearly week long break and will take on Elk Mound in the sectional semi-finals. | ||||

34 | The Lancers claimed a dominant win over Shoreland Lutheran to move on to the sectional semi-finals. This St. Joe's offense exploded for 13 runs on 13 hits and were led by Jacob Ashmus who tallied a double and a pair of singles to finish with three RBIs. Jack McTernan also doubled and singled twice to drive in one run for this St. Joe's squad. Leadoff hitter Eric Kenesie also put together a solid day as he tripled and singled to drive in one run, and also scoring two runs as well. On the mound, Luke Schuler was dominant for the Lancers as he went the distance in the shortened contest. In his five innings of work, Schuler punched out seven and gave up one run on three hits to notch the win for St. Joes. | ||||
