Carstens start lasted 5 2/3 innings in which he gave up only one hit while striking out 11. In relief was Matthew Stuczynski who picked up right where Carstens left off. Recent Future Gamer Jake Schaffner led the charge for this Courgar offense, driving in three runs, two of which came from a double in the second inning. It seems that everything is clicking for this Cougar squad early into the season and they are showing no signs of slowing down anytime soon.

23 | Two recent PBR Future Games teammates, Wichita State Luke Agnew of Marquette and Zach Wolfram of Menomonee Falls faced off in this must-see Greater Metro Conference game. To start the game, Wolfram went one-two-three against the top of this Hilltopper lineup. When it was Menomonee Falls turn to hit, the uncommitted Keli Grennier led-off the game with a triple to the opposite field that was only a few feet away from going over the fence and later scored on a past ball. It seemed like Menomonee Falls was poised for a big game but the Hilltopper lineup had other plans. Putting up all 14 of their runs in a three inning span, highlighted by an eight-run inning. The duo of Cole Terry and Andrew Halser each drove in three runs to pace this Hilltopper lineup. Sam Wronski relieved Agnew and shutdown the Phoenix lineup in his 3 2/3 innings of work. Another uncomitted name that stood out for the Phoenix was Evan Faulkner who launched a two run homerun to his pull side. With this win, Marquette stays undefeated and is showing no signs of slowing down.
