4 | In the first game of the PBR at The Rock High School Invitational, we had the opportunity to see two Power 25 teams go head-to-head. Pewaukee would pull away early in this game, from a wild pitch, a fielder choice, and a single from Carson Hansen to go up 3-0 at the end of the second inning. In the top of the third, the Lancers would get on the board, putting up four runs to go by one, highlighted by a RBI single from B Bigler. It was all Pewaukee after this as they put up nine unanswered runs. The aforementioned Hansen led the way for the Pewaukee offense with four RBIs while going 2-for-2 at the plate. Jackson Servais also contributed three RBIs himself to pace this Pirate squad. On the mound, Luke Sopha came in on relief and in his 4 1/3 innings of work he was dominant as he did not allow any hits while logging eight strikeouts. | ||||

6 | In this Power 25 matchup, defending Division 1 state champions, Sun Prairie pulled off the win against Verona backed by a strong pitching performance from senior, Davis Hamilton. The North Dakota State commit twirled a complete game gem, allowing no runs, while scattering four hits and tallying nine strikeouts. Not only did Hamilton contribute on the mound, he also logged one of the games only RBIs on a single in the fourth. Addison Ostrenga, who was a contributor to last year's state team, drove in the first run of the game on a single to right field, which scored the aforementioned Hamilton. Overall, this was solid team win for Sun Prairie against a talented Verona squad. | ||||

8 | The Cougars continue their winning ways with a Big Eight win over Madison West, moving to 5-0 on the season and 4-0 in conference play. The backbone of this Craig team to start the season has been their pitching and Friday's matchup was no different. Patrick Schork got the start for the Cougars and in his five innings of work he was spectacular, striking out nine, allowing two earned runs, and picking up the win. For the finals two innings, Denver Hughes came in and was equally impressive, striking out three and did not allow a run, good enough to pick up the save. In the top of the third, Janesville Craig took the lead for good with a three run inning. The aforementioned Schork and Devin Gudenschwager earned RBIs in the inning. Recent Future Games participant, Jake Schaffner continues his hot start at the plate as well, going 2-for-3 in the game. | ||||

10 | Power 25 member, Beloit Turner cruised to a 9-1 win over Clinton on Friday. The duo of Michael Cook and Konner Giddey combined for a solid overall pitching performance on the mound. Cook got the start for Turner and in his six innings of work he scattered three hits, allowed just one run and tallied nine strikeouts. It took Giddey just 13 pitches to finish the final inning which included two strikeouts, and give Beloit Turner the win. Offensively, Will Lauterbach paced this Turner squad with his two RBIs. Jack Stelter and Brayden McMahon each contributed an RBI to lead this Beloit Turner team to victory. | ||||

13 | Despite being down early, Jefferson pulls off the comeback win against Brodhead/Juda. In the first inning, Brodhead/Juda scored two runs but Jefferson responded quickly. The Eagles scored one run in both the second and third inning coming from a Andrew Altermatt sacrifice ground out and sacrifice fly from Tyler Frederick making the score 2-2. Things stayed quiet for both teams until the top of the sixth where two sacrifice flies from Evan Neitzel and Tyler Butina sealed the deal and gave Jefferson the win. | ||||

15 | Two sophomore arms combined for a shutout victory for Union Grove at our PBR at The Rock High School Invitational. Landon Dessart got the start for Union Grove in the nightcap against Brookfield East. Dessart was dominant in his start, going four innings while scattering two hits and striking out three. Marshall Loch came in on relief and was equally impressive in his three innings of work where he tallied four strikeouts and scattered just two hits. Offensively, the aforementioned Dessart led the charge with three RBIs for Union Grove. The duo of Nathan Williams and Hayden Jamison each doubled home RBIs as well. Overall, this was a dominant win for the Broncos over a talented Brookfield East opponent. | ||||

17 | The Vikings cruised to an east 16-5 win over Cudahy on Friday. Leading the offensive attack was Ryder Derouin and Lucas Oswald who each had four RBIs and with Derouin going 5-for-5. Zach Adams also contributed two RBIs of his own to pace this Vikings squad. On the mound, Carlos Walta got the start and was solid in his four innings of work, giving up three runs on six hits and striking out seven. Logan Abramowski came in on relief for the final two innings and gave up two runs on three hits while striking out four opposing batters. | ||||
