Mason Buss hurled five scoreless innings, striking out seven and scattering three hits while allowing an unearned run. Nolan Buss relieved his older brother, punching out five of the eight batters he faced, walking none. JJ Vargas, Michael Zordani, and James Duncan all had multi-hit games. Junior Ethan Hindle doubled and scored three times out of the leadoff spot, walking twice and bringing home two batters of his own. The Sabers pushed runs across in the first three innings, finishing the game with eight hits in total. Max Semancik doubled and tripled, driving in three and stealing a base in the win. Carson Flugaur picked up two hits, Maxamillion Martin drove in two, and Boston Halloran doubled. 10 | Kimberly secured a major road victory over Fox Valley Association rival Hortonville, largely in part to Brayden Deering's dominant outing on the bump. The uncommitted junior fanned 15 batters in 6 2/3 innings, holding Hortonville to two runs in total before departing the game with one out to go. His younger brother, Sawyer Deering, recorded the final out of the game after his exit, securing the Kimberly win. All of the Papermakers' offense came in the first inning, when senior Colin Obermann turned a pitch around for a three-run blast. Sam Dodd settled in nicely for Hortonville after the first inning, striking out five batters and scattering six hits across five innings of work. Nick Doubek led the Pewaukee offense yet again, driving in four runs on a pair of hits, including a triple. Carson Hansen, Greyson Zach, and Jack Sandvik all had multi-hit games. Luke Sopha brought two runners home and drew the start for Pewaukee, punching out six in 3 1/3 innings of work while allowing three runs. His younger brother, Ryan Sopha, worked in relief, striking out three in a short, clean outing. EJ Kuster had an impressive performance at the plate, going 4-for-5 with two doubles and two RBIs. Freshman Luke Mattes brought four home on two hits as well. After a shaky first inning, Ellis settled in on the mound exceptionally well, striking out six and turning in a quality complete game effort.
