4 | Through scrutiny of the Shelby American invoices shared with the SRG, we've found two recurring errors: | |||

6 | 1) Line item pricing error with the fold-down rear seat. The occasional mistake accidentally priced the Fold-down rear seat line item at $53.13 ($0.02 less than the $53.15 it should have been priced at). This mistake is clearly a 'human error' and is only found on some of the hand-typed 'Vehicle' type invoices. 'Continuation' type invoices were pre-printed and pre-priced and where therefore immune to such a mistake. | |||

8 | 2) On the very early invoices, specifically those dated in October 1966, we discovered a line item for the Closed Crankcase Emissions System was mistakenly charged. Actual Thermactor-equipped cars would have this CCES line item, along with a second line item for the Exhaust Emissions Control System (EECS), however, no Thermactor G.T. 500 cars had been completed/invoiced in October '66, and the first Thermactor-equipped G.T. 350 cars wouldn't be built by the Ford San Jose assembly plant until May 15, 1967. It is possible this mistake might spill over into early November-invoiced cars, but we haven't found any yet. | |||

10 | To date the SRG has reviewed less than 10% of the invoices for the 3,225 '67 Shelby G.T. units built. We thank all those car owners who have obtained their cars' invoice from Dave Mathews and subsequently shared them with us.
