Fry the tofu with oil on a pan and a little garlic or soy sauce. The baked tofu or the ginger tofu does not taste very good or like tofu.
Thanks for the suggestion - as you may realize, as many people will ask us to roast it to keep as much oil out of it as possible!
Fresh eggs every morning again. Like the oil to my engine, the fresh eggs really help me get through the morning, and if the fresh eggs aren’t offered that day I usually don’t get anything at all. The worst thing is waking up early to go to the dining all and finding out there’s going to be no fresh eggs that morning.

We offer "eggs to order" M, T, Th and Fridays at breakfast! On the other days, both breakfast sandwiches and scrambled eggs are available! I am incredibly proud our kitchen staff manages to do eggs to order the 4 days that they do it, it is an incredible amount of work!

To be consistent with the dining hall's technology policy, please turn off the televisions hanging on the walls during dinner Sunday-Thursday. From page 27 of the NMH student handbook, regarding technology use in Alumni Hall: "Beginning at 5 pm, Sunday through Thursday nights, no technology (this includes computers and tablets)."

We have taken your suggestion, and some other recent comments to heart, and we will experiment with this at dinner. The community can do its' part by talking about ... and taking steps to ... reduce food waste. Many people don't realize that we lost a long time bakery staff member this past July, and our bakery has been running very shorthanded. We've had some great people step in and step up to pick up that work load - AND we have hired a very talented baker who will begin working with us in January. We will be excited to have our bakery back to its' normal operations in the new year, including the muffin tops!

This would benefit the community members who enjoy a different flavor profile of hot sauce than what is currently offered.
Well, there are two types of Siracha offered in alumni right now (one in bottle and one by the ketchup and mustard), and there is one hot sauce in a bottle, however it is more of a buffalo sauce than a nice “salsa picante”. To implement, you could just add a bottle of cholula in the bin near the salad bar.

Something I saw at Exeter Academy and Columbia University was they would occasionally try and include some items that were halal (e.g they would label a chicken pie as halal chicken pie because they managed to get some halal chickens on that day). On top of that they had Halal Roast beef in their deli bars all the time. Not everything on the menu has to be halal. The deli bar halal roast beef would be an awesome and easy idea to implement.

The sweet potatoes are not breaded, and have not ever been breaded - the salad bar is 100% gluten free in the front of our guests, and a couple items that have gluten in them kept behind.

I think that the desserts should be evenly distributed throughout first and second lunch.
I think this would benefit the hungry students of NMH. I feel that the students in second lunch already have a hard time accessing the delish food, and that the desserts are even harder. I would gratefully appreciate it if you could take this into great consideration. It would also be highly beneficial for the tired and hangry students who do not have classes in Blake. I myself, am a hungry individual who enjoys an exciting dessert after a warm, filling meal.

I love, love, love the NMH farm eggs that are hardboiled for breakfast! However, they are hard to peel - the shells are flaky and thin. My suggestion is to let them sit for a couple of weeks before boiling them so that they are less hard to peel, which is typically done for farm-fresh eggs.
People who love farm-fresh eggs but find them difficult to peel.
Let the NMH farm eggs sit in the fridge for a week or two before hard-boiling them.
Or not use Farm fresh eggs, as we don't have the refrigeration space or time to date, save and rotate eggs for weeks at a time!

Could more possibly be done regarding low-fat or low-carb diets? It's often difficult for me to tell if an item has been cooked in butter or oil and I'm trying to limit how much fat is in my diet. I don't necessarily need an ingredient breakdown for every menu item, but even if things could be marked with "LF" and "LC" for low-fat and low-carb, it would make things tremendously easier for me. I absolutely love the food at NMH, I would just like to eat a little healthier.
