The Panthers battled back valiently and ultimately put a runner in scoring position in the bottom of the eighth, but Wyatt Miles recorded the final out via strikeout to secure a D.C. Everest win. That capped a valient relief effort from Miles, who went four scoreless and kept his team in the game throughout. Reimer finished the day with two RBIs, pacing the Evergreens' offense. | ||||

45 | Manitowoc Lincoln scored an upset over Sectional favorite Neenah in on Monday morning, led by freshman starter Noah Wech, who K'd five Rockets in five innings and limited the team to just one run. An RBI double off the bat of Bryce Erdmann opened the scoring in the first for the Shipbuilders, Brock Peterson's run-scoring single drove in the their second run in the third, and productive outs helped them chip away offensively while Wech worked hard to prevent Neenah from gaining much momentum. Peterson doubled home another run in the top of the seventh to make it a 6-1 ballgame, and Neenah answered with a small rally in the bottom of the seventh, but it was too large a deficit. Manitowoc ventured into the Sectional final with West Bend East where they fell short against the Suns from West Bend East, who are now headed to state. | ||||

47 | Craig and Milton traded quick starts offensively, as the Cougars scored two in the bottom of the first and the Red Hawks answered with a go-ahead homer by Luke Hessenauer. The Cougars responded with a huge third frame to take a six-run lead, but Milton rallied all the way back to tie it, 9-9, shortly after. Craig added three in the sixth and and three more in the seventh to jump out again, 15-9, and that's where Milton was finally halted. The Cougars went on to battle Sun Prairie in the Sectional final where the top-ranked team in the state leapt out front and never looked back, to earn its latest trip to state. | ||||

49 | This game was to decide the winner of the Baraboo Sectional, and it was a good one. Both teams were held scoreless through five frames, and in the bottom of the sixth, the Hilltoppers were the first to break through. Wade Fox and Bryce Hoeft sparked a one-out rally with back-to-back singles, and a walk right after loaded the bases. A strikeout had Middleton on the brink of escaping, but a hard groundball off the bat of Kaden Kokaisel richocheted off an infielder to score the game's first two runs. Hoeft returned to the mound in the seventh looking to secure the complete game shutout, though Middleton rallied and scored a run on a passed ball. Hoeft left it there thought, 2-1, and sent Onalaska through to state in the process, where they'll take on top-ranked Sun Prairie in the quarterfinals. | ||||
