Senior LHP Brady Stevens was overwhelming in relief, as he struck out five in two scoreless frames to lock down the save. The Cardinals' four-run outburst in the third inning was all that they required. They grinded out their first two runs and Josh Caron grounded a ball through the right side of the infield to drive in two more. Verona's Jacob Kisting pitched an effecitve five innings against one of the top offenses in the state, limiting them to three earned runs on five hits. 6 | Uncommitted junior RHP Luke Klekamp continues to impress with his high-level of pitchability, and it was on display again on Thursday, as he carved through his six innings. He struck out six, walked none, and navigated around four hits. Senior RHP Isaac Engelbrecht K'd two in his efficient inning of relief, adding to the depth of arms the Knights have on staff. Offensively, Tyler Gall was 3-for-4 with two RBIs. Tyler Peck doubled, drove in a run, and scored twice. Owen Sullivan was 2-for-4 from the lead-off spot. Freshman Cade Palkowski tripled. Bradford senior RHP Ben Massoglia struck out nine in four innings and limited a potent Oak Creek lineup to two earned runs (four total) on six hits. | ||||

8 | Carson Hansen's huge offensive output powered the Pirates, as he slugged two homers, doubled, and drove in three runs. Nick Doubek went 3-for-4 with two runs scored and two RBIs. Starter RHP Logan Dobberstein allowed two earned runs in 5.2 innings and struck out six. Senior RHP Grant Ross relieved him and struck out seven of the nine batters he faced; he entered the game with it being tied, and Doubek's two-run single and Hansen's RBI double in the top of the eighth pushed Pewaukee back into the lead for good. Ross struck out the side on 13 pitches in the bottom of the eighth to seal it. For the Vikings, senior NIU recruit RHP Mason Ruh struck out 13 batters in six innings, and really only struggled to get Hansen out, but was otherwise highly effective. | ||||

10 | Since dropping their first two ballgames, the Sabers have won four straight. A six-run fourth frame is ultimately what helped put Franklin over the edge on Wednesday. Sophomore Boston Halloran stays hot with two more hits, and he drove in two as well. Lead-off man Max Semancik went 2-for-3 with two RBIs and three runs scored. Dyson Klubertanz tripled and collected three RBIs. RHP Jordan Bierdemann struck out eight in three innings. Relievers Isaac Verges, Noah Musolf, and Tim Thiry combined to limit Park to five hits and one run in four innings, allowing for Franklin's offense to pull away. 12 | Tremper pitching was dominant, and really only got into trouble at the very end of the ballgame, still managing to hang on to maintain their undefeated start. Starter Kalieb Lyon did not allow his first hit until a two-run triple in the bottom of the seventh, but he'd dominated until that point. Lyon struck out eight in 6.2 innings and limited Horlick to just those two runs on one hit, two walks. Riley Dutton inherited the tying run on third and eventually struck out the final batter of the game stranding that runner at third, securing the win for the Trojans. Ivan Jake continues to produce offensively, as he collected one hit and a walk, scoring twice. Horlick's Dom LaCanne was the batter who connected for that clutch triple in the seventh; starter J.J.
