4 | Goal Past program participants who are still eligible for Iowa's Breast and Cervical Cancer Early Detection Program will re-enroll in the program to gain access to free breast and cervical cancer screening services. Description This measure shows the percentage of program participants who have re-enrolled in Iowa's Breast and Cervical Cancer Early Detection Program. Re-enrollment means that the person has been a program participant in a past year. Some people may no longer qualify for the program if their net income or barriers to care have changed. Each enrollment period lasts one full year from the date the enrollment form is signed by the participant. Enrollment in the program does not signify that breast and/or cervical cancer screening was completed. Data is collected through consent and enrollment forms that are entered into a secure database by contracted local community health workers across Iowa. Formula The numerator is the number of people who re-enrolled in the program. The denominator is the total number of people who enrolled in the program. For federal fiscal year 2021, the numerator was 1,348 and the denominator was 2,187.
