31 | AFTER ACTION REPORT - I'd be lying if I said there weren't some nerves showing as we prepared for our first mission. A few of the boys were pretty quiet, more were chattering like jay birds until I told 'em to can it and focus on their jobs, and then Everson puked into the bomb bay just as we were taxiing out of our hardstand. My co-pilot and I had the nerves so bad when Everson started puking behind us we both turned to see what the commotion was. As you know sir, we ran into a runway barrier and had to abort before we even got into the air. For which I'm frightful sorry, sir. Our crew chief says the damage is minimal and he'll have our a/c ready for the next mission. I promise we'll do better next time out, sir! The chief also made Everson clean up his mess before his crew would touch our a/c. | |||||||
