| No. 6 St. Laurence | 5 | No. 2 Providence Catholic | 6 | Final |
| By: Kevin Cronin Tech Analysis, Area Scout In a CCL Blue and Do It Stevie’s Way second round matchup, No. 2 Providence scored all six of their runs with two outs and walked-off No. 6 St. Laurence by a score of 6-5. With two outs in the seventh inning and down to their final strike, AJ Vinci (2023, St. Louis) kept the inning alive with a double to left field. The following batter and the top of the order Nolan Galla (2025, Xavier) got hit by the pitch to bring up uncommitted junior Jackson Smith. In an 0-2 count, Smith took a breaking ball the other way to drive home Vinci and win the game for No. 2 Providence. No. 2 Providence got their first runs on the board in the second inning, Galla delivered a two out knock to score Mitch Voltz who singled two batters. Next batter Smith pulled a double down the first base line for a double and scored Galla from first base, making it 2-0. Insurance runs came in the fourth, after Galla and Smith kept the inning alive with back to back walks. Oklahoma commit Enzo Infelise (2025) went first pitch swinging and nearly missed clearing the fence, instead a double off the right field fence bringing home both Galla and Smith. Before the inning ended a pinch runner for Infelise would cross the plate to make it 5-0. No. 6 St. Laurence’s big inning came in the fifth inning when they pulled to within one run. Three consecutive walks got the inning started for the Vikings and an RBI single from Jesse Contreras (2023, Heartland CC) put his team on the board. The Vikings would get the rest of their runs on two pass balls and a fielder’s choice. The following inning, No. 6 St. Laurence tied the game up 5-5 when Contreras brought home a run on an error by the second baseman. Notable Performance: Providence Jackson Smith: 2-4, 2 2B, 2 RBI Enzo Infelise (Oklahoma): 3-4, 2B, 2 RBI Nolan Galle (Xavier): 1-3, RBI Ryan Hussey (Ohio State): 4ip, 3er, 5k, 5h, 5bb, 1h St. Laurence Jesse Contreras (Heartland): 2-4, RBI DJ Helwig (Notre Dame): 3.2ip, 5er, 7h, 7k, 4bb Luke Geary: 3ip, 5k, 1h, 1er, 2bb
| Triad | 1 | Nashville | 2 | Final |
| By: Diego Solares Area Scout, Illinois & Missouri This wild 12-inning contest ended in a Hornets win, as Nashville capitalized on a late error by the Knights to walk things off, winning their 17th game of the season. We had a pitchers dual on our hands prior to free play, however, as Trey Reinburg (Nashville, 2023) and Drew Winslow (Triad, 2025) battled each other throughout their respective outings. Reinburg pitched into extras, fanning 10 over 8 1/3 innings of work, while striking out 10. He pumped his fastball at 88-90 mph early from a fast, athletic arm, settling at 85-87 mph while consistently living around the zone. Aside from his velocity, Reinburg spun a sharp slider with depth and swing-and-miss spin at 75-78 mph, turning to it whenever he wanted. Winslow was equally as impressive, as the Knights' budding star struck out six over five scoreless, scattering two hits. In his second career start at the varsity level, Winslow's fastball touched 89 mph early, settling at 84-88 mph throughout, inducing plenty of uncomfortable swings and ground balls. He flashed late swing-and-miss sweep on a slider at 72-74 mph and, while he's still fully harnessing consistency for it, has the potential to be a true weapon now and at the next level. Carter Vandever (2024) drove in the Knights' only run of the game with a sacrifice fly in the top half of the third inning. Nashville didn't answer until the bottom of the seventh, when Isaac Blazier (2025) sprayed a line drive into the right-center gap, bringing a runner home from second to force extras. Things held until the aforementioned walk-off, largely due to Wyatt Suter's (Triad, 2024) effort on the hill. The Knights junior fanned eight over five innings of one-run ball, scattering two hits, and walking four. Brady Coon (Triad, 2024) was the day's leading offensive performer, finishing 3-for-5 with a double and two stolen bases. Notable Performances: + Trey Reinburg (Nashville): 8 1/3 IP, R, 10 K + Drew Winslow (Triad): 5 IP, 2 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 6 K + Brady Coon (Triad): 3-for-5, 2B, SB + Wyatt Suter (Triad): 5 IP, 2 H, ER, 4 BB, 8 K

| By: Gavin Smith Area Scout In an Inter-County Conference matchup between Illini Bluffs and Delavan, the Tigers came out on top, scoring a run in the bottom of the eighth, in a game that was a pitching duel throughout. For the Tigers, Josh Vaughn (2024) started on the mound and threw seven innings, struck out 12, walked two, and allowed one hit. He pounded the zone for strikes all game (74%) and took a no-hitter into the seventh inning before giving up a hit to Brayden Arrenholz (2025). For the Panthers, Cole Noreuil (2024) threw 6 ⅓ innings, struck out 10 and walked three - only being taken out of the game due to pitch count. The game went into extra innings and the Tigers were able to tack on a run. Brayden Fargher (2026) started the inning off with a leadoff walk, followed by Vaughn being intentionally walked, and then stealing second base with the infield in for the bunt. Chris Finn (2023) reached base on a fielder's choice and Fargher was out on the play. Brandon Coats (2023; Monmouth) was intentionally walked on the next at-bat for the Tigers. With the bases loaded and Toby Cooper (2025) up, he delivered an RBI knock over the left fielder’s head to give the Tigers the 1-0 win. Notable Performances: Josh Vaughn (Illini Bluffs): 7 IN, 1 H, 0 R, 12 K, 2 BB Toby Cooper (Illini Bluffs): 1-for-4, RBI Cole Noreuil (Delavan): 6.1 IN, 0 H, 0 R, 10 K, 3 BB Brayden Arrenholz (Delavan): 1-for-2, BB
