Trailing by a run in the bottom of the seventh, Highland scratched their way to a run, tying the game on a single down the left field line from junior Adam Munie (2024). Chase Knebel (2025) hurled a scoreless eighth and set the Bulldogs' up nicely for a walk-off win. Trey Koishor (2024) reached on an infield single to kick things off, advancing to third after two strikeouts on an error by the Knights. Trent Clemons (2024) stepped up to the plate and sprayed one the other way, bringing Koishor around from third to secure the win. Triad's only two runs came in the top of the fifth inning. Nic Funk (2023) doubled to deep left field and scored on a barrel from OF Wyatt Bugger (2023). The Knights would capitalize on a Highland defensive miscue in the same inning to score again. The aforementioned Knebel picked up the win for the Bulldogs - his fifth of the season. He hurled all eight innings and didn't allow an earned run, scattering seven hits, and punching out five. Jake Ottensmeier (2024) had a pair of hits to pace the Highland offense. Austin Brown (2023) turned in a strong effort for Triad, punching out seven over seven innings of work, while allowing just an earned run on four hits. On the season, Brown's now struck out 71 batters over 46 innings, good for a 0.59 ERA.
