16	6	Computers	Moser Baer	4	Besides working for the community they have used their core competence and are manufacturing CDs and DVDs at as low costs as Rs.28 and Rs.34 to stop piracy of the CDs which are available at the same price with bad quality. The company has helped in creating jobs for the underprivilidged youth by providing them training in technical courses and helping them get placed.

18	8	Electronics	Siemens Ltd	3	Siemens has worked on wild life preservation by creating awarness on protection of the Oliver Ridley turtes, one of the endangered species on Chennai seacoast.The ‘Turtle Walk’ is an initiative taken by the company to educate the fishing community and the general public living near the beach on the need to protect Oliver Ridley turtles . Besides this they also work towards providing equal opportunity for the disabled,home for street children and children of single parents.

The project has brought a significant improvement in income to over 1000 farmers. 35	25	Miscellaneous	Titan Industries Ltd.	4	Titan has holistcally integrated the CSR process and has programs covering the employment of physically challenged, empowerement of women by partnering with SHGs.Titan provided training and worked with Myrada to source the necessary equipment. Following early successes the initiative was converted into a privately held company run and owned by the women themselves, supported by further technical training and expertise from Titan. The company was called MEADOW (Management of Enterprise and Development of Women).
