106 | - Space Work and Stage Picture | Archer Rosenkrantz
107 | As improvisers, we are not only story tellers. We are set designers, props masters, and costume makers as well! With space work, we can create immersive worlds that feel alive and lived in, breathing life into our performances. One of our most important jobs as improvisational artists is to help the audience suspend disbelief with us by helping them to visualize our environment and the people within it. In "Space Work and Stage Picture" you will learn important physical concepts such as isolation, click on/off, and relational distance. Furthermore, we will take a step back as directors to discover how we can block interesting scenes in real time to create engaging and captivating stage picture. Archer Rosenkrantz (They/Him) is a trans, queer, and autistic performance artist from Los Angeles. They’ve been studying improv since they were a kid, beginning with the ComedySportz High School League. Since then, they’ve studied under notable schools of comedy all over the country. Although improv is their home, they can be found on stages around Colorado performing in plays as well as sketch, puppetry, and walk around characters. Archer formally studied Inclusive Education in college, and their passion for teaching follows them into the artforms they love.
