50	AP	I heard Ant talk about 8k video and he doubted it was possible on "these small sensors." It is possible and here's why. It's just plain physics. Video is just a gathering of many snapshots (called frames). 8k video resolution is 7680 x 4320 which means that the sensor must be a 33 megapixel sensor. 33 megapixel is common in phones today so the sensors aren't too small as Ant suggests. Why hasn't 8k been available up to now? Processor speed. It takes a lot of horsepower to record 33 megapixels at 30 or 60 times per second. And it requires fast memory. But the real question is why take 8k video at all? Where would you play it. Well, the beauty of 8k video is that you get frames at 33 megapixels. You can take any frame, extract it from the video and have a high quality photograph. If you start to think of 8k video is just photos with an extremely high burst rate you will immediately see the benefit of 8k. 8k changes the game for photographers who will soon shoot shots in video instead of a single image and then later extract exactly the perfect image. It makes getting those fast action shots easy. I think 8k will become the pseudo standard going forward. Regards, Chuck	love this email!
