Senior Nutrition Program/Meals On Wheels: Food is
served at five senior centers, five days a week from
11:30 am to 1:00 pm. Frozen meals are delivered to
clients that are homebound or outside the city limits.
A donation of $3.50 (or $8 for those under age 60) is
suggested. Senior citizens county-wide are eligible.

Emergency Food Assistance Program (EFAP) and
Commodities Supplemental Food Program (CSFP):
In collaboration with Coastal Harvest, CCAP assists
food banks and supplies food to households in need.

Home Weatherization Assistance Program: Assists
low-income community with making homes more
heat efficient.

Homeless Assistance: Provides a variety of programs
in individuals experiencing homelessness.

Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program
(LIHEAP): Assists with home energy costs county-wide
for those who meet income requirements.

In-Home Care: In-home caregivers offer non-medical
services to seniors, disabled, those recovering from
surgery, and others in need of assistance in the safety
of their own home.

Supported Employment and DVR Services: Facilitates
competitive jobs in integrated work settings for individuals
with mild to severe disabilities for whom employment has
been difficult, or who need ongoing support services in order
to perform their jobs.

Employment Transportation/Job Access & Remote Commute
(JARC) Program: Provides low-income individuals with rides to
work or training.

Medical Transportation Community Services

Personal Hygiene Packs: Provide low-income individuals and
families with basic hygiene items such as soap, toothpaste,
laundry soap, toothbrushes, deodorant, shampoo, etc.

United Way Emergency Fund: Funds may be available for
dental, prescriptions, water bills, and some miscellaneous
services.

BASICS Northwest (Behavioral And Social Intervention & Consultation

Serves clients primarily aged two through young adulthood
who are diagnosed with autism.

IN HOME CARE, WAIVER SERVICES,& Employment support
for the developmentally disabled, must be a client of DDA.

Washington Telephone Assist Program: Discount local
telephone program that allows customers to pay $4 per
month (plus taxes) for service. Can be accessed by calling
local telephone company and providing DSHS client ID
number to complete eligibility process. State- wide, must
be an adult receiving DSHS benefits.

Additional Requirements for Emergent Needs (AREN)
Program: Emergency funding for those already on TANF,
SFA or Refugee Cash Assistance (RCA), but have an
imminent eviction, power shut-off, or other emergent need
($750 lifetime max).

Childcare Subsidies: Income, schedule and size of
household used to determine eligibility.

Intellectual and Developmental Disability Resource Center:
One- stop access to information regarding goods and services
related to meeting the needs of those with intellectual and/or
developmental disabilities. Provides access to information available
to anyone with questions regarding developmental disabilities.
Some programs have specific requirements.

Children and Youth with Special Healthcare Needs (CYSHCN) Program

Development and health status assessment, resource, coordination
and referral for children (up to age 18) with special healthcare needs.

Employment Support: Coordinates group and individual supported
employment programming for adults with developmental disabilities.

Parent Training Information Center: Provides training, resources,
and support for parents in Washington state whose children have
special learning needs. Staff and volunteers work one-to-one or
provide workshops on various aspects of obtaining appropriate
services in the public-school system.

Family to Family Health Information Center: Serves children
with special healthcare needs age birth to 18 years. Provides
individual information on advocating for children in the health
care system and referrals to resources that are available in
Washington State that provide information on healthcare.

Response to Intervention (RTI): Process that schools use to
identify students who are struggling in school and get them
support. All students are screened by teachers to see if they
need help in an area. Teachers monitor students’ progress and
adjust interventions based on individual needs. There are three
levels of interventions that increase in intensity.

Specialized Training of Military Parents (STOMP): Information
and training regarding special education and other resources
available to military families of children with disabilities.
