Tweets can be unavailable for several reasons: they could contain a keyword that you’ve muted, or an account’s tweets could be private, or a tweet got deleted since being posted. Twitter says the new feature that gives you more information about why a tweet went dark should become available “in a few weeks.”||https://www.theverge.com/2019/7/19/20700794/twitter-unavailable-tweets-context|

Local ISPs have been told by the government to have customers install a state-authorized certificate on all devices and browsers. In 2015, Kazakhstan ordered citizens to install a similar certificate but dropped those plans after multiple organizations sued the government.||https://thenextweb.com/security/2019/07/19/kazakhstan-begins-intercepting-citizens-web-traffic-to-protect-them-from-cyber-threats/|

Huawei communications VP Andrew Williamson told Reuters in June that Hongmeng was in testing as a Android replacement that could be in place "in-month" following a blacklisting.||https://techcrunch.com/2019/07/19/huaweis-new-os-is-for-industrial-use-not-android-replacement/|

Affected extensions collected URLs, webpage titles and sometimes embedded links of every page the browser visited. The histories were published on a fee-based service called Nacho Analytics. Links often include tokens that allow access and if shared, give anyone with the link access. Nacho Analytics had collected pages that included surveillance videos, tax returns, medical records and more. Some pages wouldn't load but page titles revealed information like internal testing at Tesla, internal product development at Apple and other corporate secrets. The privacy policies of the extensions said that data collection would happen and would be shared with third parties. Nacho Analytics claim data collection is opt in and data is scrubbed of names locations and other sensitive data. Nacho Analytics CEO Mike Roberts told Ars Technica that his company has stopped new sign ups until it gets more information on the issue of sensitive data still appearing. Mozilla and Gogole have removed all extensions reported by Jadali from their stores. Two Firefox extensions still appear to be available from the developer's websites. Google remotely disabled the extensions July 8 and five days later Roberts said on Twitter that nacho Analytics has an upstream data outage. ||https://arstechnica.com/information-technology/2019/07/dataspii-inside-the-debacle-that-dished-private-data-from-apple-tesla-blue-origin-and-4m-people/|

He compared Google's commitment to Stadia to that of Gmail, Docs, Music, Movies and Photos and said $10 a month subscribers will get roughly one free game a month "give or take.". Doronichev also said the UI will be revealed in November, with friend lists, party creation and platform-level voice chat will be ready at launch, Achievements, Bluetooth Audio for the controller and Family sharing will not arrive on Stadia until after launch. Stadia will offer full support for all HID-compliant game controllers.||https://www.engadget.com/2019/07/19/google-stadia-free-game-per-month/|

Microsoft’s Intelligent Cloud business, which includes Azure, Windows Server and GitHub, generated $11.39 billion in revenue, with Azure growing 64% on the year. This is the first time Intelligent Cloud generated the most business unit revenue at Microsoft. That's slower growth than last year thought it could be the law of large numbers and margins are reportedly better thank to multi-year contracts. Windows revenue rose 7% on the year with strong OEM sales in advance of the end of Windows 7 support on January 14.||https://www.zdnet.com/article/microsoft-q4-fy19-why-is-azure-slowing-and-windows-growing/|

|Ryzen 3000 released 7/7/2019|
Zen 2 CPUS!!! New Architecture. 7nm. It's awesome.
Ryzen 7 3700X 8 core 16 thread, $329
Ryzen 9 3900X 12/24, $499
Ryzen 9 3950x 16/32 $749 in September
For comparison, Core i9-900K has 8 cores, $500-ish
Also some sweet 6/12 core Ryzen 5 CPUS
fast for multicore work!
Intel still has gaming lead, but it's not as huge as it was
works w/ older Ryzen mobos
570 chipset issues getting ironed out,
|Nvidia GeForce RTX 2060/2070 Super |
Essentially replacing 2060 and 2070...
...2060 Super is close to 2070 performance,
2070 Super near 2080 performance for $200 less.
This is where a lot of folks think RTX cards should have been priced at launch
|AMD 5700 & 5700XT |
VEGA IS DEAD. No. Srsly. Don't buy a Vega 56 or 64. 5700 = cheaper and faster
A LOT FASTER Go 7nm...
Performance of these cards is between 2060 Super and 2070 Super
5700XT in PCPer's early testing, often faster than 2060 Super at same price.
No Ray Tracing. I don't care.
|Ryzen VII (from CES 2019) EOL??? |
$399 5700XT has same gaming performance for $300 less
VII is really a pro card for content creation, etc.
