20 | Medlife | AHS/SILSA MEDLIFE is a chapter of the MEDLIFE Movement, a nonprofit organization that aims to break down barriers in access to healthcare, education, and medicine on a global scale. This MEDLIFE chapter not only focuses our efforts on Latin American countries, but also on our community right here in Asheville! To help MEDLIFE and their partner, communities break down barriers chapters usually host Power Hour fundraisers 1-2 times a year. Like telethons, we call, email, and text people to ask for donations. So far, we've raised nearly $2000. Every year, we will also try to go on a Service Learning Trip.
