3 | Academic Worldquest (runs December-March) | AWQ prepares students for the growing challenges they face in an increasingly global and interconnected world. 14 | German Club | The German Club is a group of students interested in enjoying the German language and culture on an informal, active basis. 15 | Guitar Building Club | Students will purchase a Guitar Building Kit, then go through the entire process of planning, machining, painting/staining/finishing, assembling, electrically wiring, and stringing/tuning a fully-functional electric guitar. In a classroom setting, this process takes an entire semester. This club will meet every Wednesday at lunch for the How-To lessons, then students are welcome to come in any day at lunch time to work on their guitars. 16 | Hawks Theatre Club | The Hawks Theatre Company provides students with a variety of opportunities and training in professional theatre. 18 | Human Rights Club | The Human Rights Club was founded in 2017 to advocate for and raise awareness about human rights issues, locally, nationally and internationally. The club undertakes a variety of activities to accomplish these goals, including the organization and promotion of educational activities, like topical movie nights, student presentations on human rights issues, and guest speakers. When appropriate, the club also partners with other clubs, undertakes fundraising activities for specific projects, and organizes periodic volunteering efforts with like-minded entities, such as the Bozeman Food Bank and local warming center. The Human Rights Club has also conducted voter registration drives at BHS and hosted special events to honor Human Rights Day and the International Day of Peace. 23 | Native American Club | Statement of Purpose: The Bozeman High School Native American Club (NAC) recognizes the unique cultural heritage of American Indians and welcomes all to learn about their history and culture. NAC has been a part of the Bozeman School District for over ten years. Club President, Vice President, and Treasurer shall be determined annually by a majority vote. NAC members participate in culturally relevant field trips such as American Indian Heritage Day at Montana State University. 25 | Project X2+ | Project X²+ is a group for young men and women within Gallatin High School who recognize and wish to address the issues facing them. These issues include things such as dating violence, double standards, name-calling, body image, self-respect, common experiences and treatment within the high school setting, and disrespect toward young women in general. 26 | Prom Committee | Junior Class hosts the Junior/Senior Prom for the calendar school year. The committee is in charge of creating a theme and finding decorations to decorate the dance venue. The group organizes ticket sales, royalty, fundraising and advertisements. Each committee member gets a free couples’ ticket to prom if they work on or about 32 hours. 27 | Robotics Club | Robotics Club works with VEX Robotics and competes at State and National Levels through a series of annual Robot oriented games. Students work collaboratively to design, build, program, and compete to achieve specific goals of each game for each year. Students are tasked with documenting observations and all work achieved on said robots throughout the year, and the game culminates at the VEX Robotics Worlds event. Elected to their position by class and student body vote, the class representatives and executive officers represent the students in various ways, including calling upon the student body to meet various needs among students and local residents. Working with administrators, the council often initiates or encourages positive and responsible action by citizen-students. One elected student, often the Student Body President, holds a non-voting seat on the District #7 School Board.
