Then in the fourth, the Warhawks really broke the game open, after a passed ball brought home a run, Issei Takahashi beat out a infield single that brought home a run. Then, with two runners on, Thomas Curry absolutely launched a home run to left field, bringing home three more runs in the inning. Arrowhead wasn't done there though, as Will Hess ripped a double to bring home a run, which was followed up by two more runs being brought in on a walk and a fielder's choice. Earning the win on the mound for Arrowhead was Nolan Buss, who twirled a gem across his five innings as he punched out seven and allowed just one hit. Hunter Abitz, an MATC commit, also went 3-for-4 on the day and drove in two runs. For Homestead, Jackson Brewer went 2-for-4 and drove in a run, while Drew Gernert went 1-for-3 and drove in three runs. Ultimately, Homestead was unable to catch up to the Kettle Moraine Lutheran offense as they dropped their first game of the day. For their second game of the day, Homestead would go into extra-innings before dropping their second of the day, this time to New Berlin West. For the VIkings, the scoring started early as they were able to push across three runs in the second inning due to two-run single from Myles Rewolinski. After another four runs in the fourth inning that gave the Vikings an 8-1 lead, the smooth sailing was cut short when Homestead answered with six of their own runs in the bottom of the fourth, cutting the lead to just one. After the Highlanders tied the game at eight in the bottom of the fifth, the deciding run was scored via a double from Jaxon Wiese that would have scored another, if not for the third out of the inning to be thrown out at home. The Vikings closed out the bottom of the eighth to secure the 9-8 victory in extra-innings. On the day for New Berlin West, Wiese went 3-for-4 and drove two runs, one of which ended up winning the game. Ben Shingledecker and Myles Rewolinski each had two hits and drove in two runs.
