6 | The Silver Eagles cruised to a dominant win over a solid Madison West team. To start, the Regent's grabbed all of the momentum as they put up a three spot in the first, highlighted by by a RBI single from Caleb Karll. Monona Grove would then answer back in the top of the second as Kaden Connor brought home Nicholas Guidici on an infield single to cut the lead to two. Now in the fourth, the Monona Grove offense turned it on as they poured on seven-runs, highlighted by RBI doubles from Calvin Moreau and Miles Nelson. Nelson would then strike again later on in the game as he smacked another two-RBI double in the sixth. On the mound, senior right-hand pitcher Jackson Hewitt was solid over his 3.2 innings, allowing three runs on four hits and also tallied four strikeouts. | ||||

8 | The Lasers traveled down to the Nashville area to avoid the bitter weather that plagued the first day of WIAA action and in there first game they cruised to a 10-run win against Vernon Hills. Leading the way for the Lasers was Tyler Wille. The southpaw was utterly dominant across his three innings of work, talllying nine strikeouts, and giving up just one hit. Kaiden Ascher and Andrew Ishag would both both come in on relief and they continued the shut-out en route to the Lasers' win. Offensively, JJ Wolbert paced this Kettle Moraine lineup with three RBIs on two-hits, and also scored two runs on his own. Owen Bond and Layson Fabisiak would also provide two RBIs each on two hits apiece. Rounding out the offensive attack for the Lasers was Scott Brown who recorded an RBI and a double. | ||||

11 | Portage took down Stoughton by the score of 12-6 to start off their season. The Warriors scored first and never gave up the lead, scoring seven runs in the sixth to cap of there night on offense. Andrew Steinle led the way for the Warriors on offense driving in five runs on two extra base hits. Griffin Garrigan also chipped in three RBI's on two hits of his own on the day. On the mound Trevor Brouette had seven punchouts in 2.2 innings as the starter for the Warriors. | ||||

13 | Luther defeated Independence/Gilmantown on Tuesday, a game highlighted by the offensive firepower from the Knights, who scored 10 runs in four innings. Jackson Kendall was the star, as the sophomore did it both at the plate and on the mound. The righty threw four innings, giving up zero runs and two hits, and went 2-for-3 at the plate, including and double and an RBI. Among other contributors was Xander Wendt who went 2-for-3, and Logan Bahr who went 2-for-4 with a double. Luther only won five games in 2022, as they look to turn it around in 2023. | ||||

15 | Iowa-Grant snuck past one of the top Division 4 teams in the state with a 5-2 victory. After getting out to a quick 1-0 lead, Potosi/Cassville could not slow down the Panthers' offense, led by Matthew Cartwright (2023) and Ashton Schmitz (2024). Quality pitching and timely offense got the job done for Iowa-Grant, as they coasted to a win after putting up four unanswered runs late in the game. | ||||

Tomah then took the lead for good in the fourth scoring six runs as Seby Wilbanks, Aidan Brach and Jackson Steffel all drove in runs in the inning. | ||||

With all of Deerfield's runs coming off the long ball, a solo shot from Cal Fisher in the first gave the Demons the lead and a two-run shot from Austin Anderson ended up putting the game out of reach. Kris Hahn was on the mound for the Demons and he punched out nine batters in six innings, while allowing just one run. | ||||

The offense was led by Landon Bobb, Wyatt Storms, Chase Chitwood, Andre Tainter, Logan Kagel and Emmett Drone who each chipped in during the big fourth inning to drive in runs for Riverdale. | ||||
