In the third inning, Eddie Rivera and Kaden Connor tallied back-to-back hits that expanded Monona Grove's lead, 5-1, at the time, but Stoughton rallied all the way back soon after. In the top of the fifth, the Vikings loaded up the bases and three straight two-out hits propelled Stoughton into the lead all of a sudden, delivered by Beckett Spilde, Kasen Sperle, and a go-ahead two-run double from Bo Iverson.
