Wisconsin Staff Notre Dame Academy took down Manitowoc Lincoln 2-1 in an important conference matchup. On the mound, Avery Duncan and Noah Wech matched up against each other for Notre Dame Academy and Manitowoc Lincoln respectively. Each pitcher would keep the opposing offenses at bay during their outings as both went six innings on the mound collecting double digit strikeouts. Notre Dame would get on the board first in the bottom of the third. Landon Lozier would walk in his at-bat and then proceed to advance to second on a pickoff attempt and then to third off of a balk. Lozier would come home on a safety squeeze by Owen Wery, giving Notre Dame Academy the lead. Manitowoc Lincoln would answer in the top of the fifth putting together tough at-bats and drawing multiple walks before Bryce Erdmann walked with the bases loaded tying the game. Notre Dame Academy would answer again in the bottom of the fifth as Landon Lozier would hit a triple and then score on a wild pitch pushing the lead to 2-1.
