5 | In our first Power 25 matchup of the year, the Vikings of Denmark took on Hudson and it definitely did not dissapoint. Getting the nod for Denmark was Ben Berkhof who dominated over his five innings of work as he struckout 12, and did not allow a hit either. Bradyn Bezanson would come on in relief as he struckout four across his two innings of worl. Denmark got on the board first as Eli Kapinos would score on a catchers interference to make it 1-0. Following that half inning, Ryan Rambo would tie the game up at one as he doubled to left field and another one would be brought home later that innings courtesy of a sacrifice fly from Sam Abrahamson. Later in the game the third run for Hudson would eventually come home on past ball, too. In the seventh, Denmark was threatening and put up one run as a result but their late push eventually came up short as Hudson grabbed their first win of the season. Game two was all Hudson as their offense exploded for 13 runs in their matchup against Amherst. Leading the high-powered Raider offense Landon Zueli who went a perfect 3-for-3 at the plate and drove in three runs while also scoring three runs of himself. Jake Busson was also a key contributor as he drove in three runs while tallying a double and a pair of singles. Bradyn Bezanson and Wyatt Gavin would round out the Hudson offense as Bezanson drove in two runs, and Gavin drove in one. On the mound, Nick Hirsch, Aaron Schwechler, Landon Zueli, and Sam Abrahamson all made an appearance on the mound, and combined to limit Amherst to just four runs | ||||

7 | In game one of Denmark's double-header, the reigning D2 state champs notched a win, backed by a absolutely dominant performance on the mound from Lucas Miller. Across his seven innings, Miller struckout 12 and blanked the Falcon lineup, all while throwing just 86 pitches. Offensively, Nolan Perry was the key contributor as he drove in a team high two runs on one hit. Jaycob Dittmer and Izaac Dittmer rounded out the scoring efforts for the Vikings with an RBI apiece. | ||||

9 | The Cavaliers grabbed their first of their 2023 campaign, backed by and absolutely dominant performance from Kyle Alivo. The righty was dominant across his six innings pitched as he struckout six and did not give up a hit throughout. Elijah Niemiec would come in for relief and he too was dominant as he kept the shutout intact and recorded every out via the strikeout. Offensively, Alivo and Oliver Gonzalez were also key contributors as they both drove in two runs on three hits. Samuel Mommer and Bennett Karolewicz rounded out the scoring for the Cavaliers as they both drove in a run on one hit. | ||||

11 | Hortonville picked up there first win of the season down in Georgia as they defeated Pikeville. Pikeville jumped on them early as they put up a three spot in first. Hortonville would then answer with five of their own in the bottom of the fifth, highlighted by a three-run homerun from Evan Mahan. The Polar Bear continued to pull away throughout the game and beside Mahan were led by Hayden Timm, Nathan Vela, and Jack Coenen who all recorded one RBI. On the mound, Ethan Peters earned the win as he allowed three runs in his four innings of work. Kolden Hunter would relieve Peters and he too was impressive over his three innings of work, striking out five and allowing just one hit in his three innings of work. | ||||

14 | Pewaukee split a double-header in their first taste of action in the 2023 season. In game one, it was all Chilton as Max Mueller and Ryan Lisowe combined to shutout the Pirates. Mueller got things started on the mound and he was dominant across his six innings of work, striking out eight and only allowing three hits. Lisowe would come in for the final inning and strikeout one, while keeping the shut-out intact. Offensively, Mueller helped himself out as he tallied three hits and one RBI. Hunter Rolbiecki and Brandon Heimann would round out the scoring attack as they each drove in a run on two hits apiece. In game two, things were a lot closer and it ended up coming down to the wire. In the bottom of the eighth, Pewaukee was down by one but after a HBP, error and a walk, the Pirates were threatening. Owen Dobbersteing would come up then with bases loaded and deliver a double to center field that brought home two runs and gave Pewaukee their first win of the season. On the mound, Dobberstein, Greyson Zach and Brooks Bigler would combine to limit the Chilton offense to four runs and also combined for 12 strikeouts too. | ||||

17 | Deerfield blanked Beachwood (OH) by a score of 8-0. Austin Anderson took the mound for Deerfield and tossed a no-hitter where he struck out nine batters on the day on only 67 pitches. Offensively Cal Fisher led the way with three hits including a home-run and a two doubles while driving in three runs, Eric Staszak was also a factor on offense going 2-for-3 with a two-run home-run in the bottom of the fifth. | ||||

Offensively Nolan Sandee led the way for Nicolet going 2-for-2 with two walks on the day and a double, Gabe Nelson and Oliver Scharnick each had two hits and two RBI's on the day with Scharnick also hitting a triple on the day. On the mound Jack Stuck threw four shutout innings of relief striking out eight in that time. For Milwaukee King Leo Berger got the start on the mound and went three innings collecting 6 strikeouts, offensively Zeke Penvose went 1-for-3 with an RBI. | ||||

21 | Elkhorn lost to Padua Franciscan 2-12 in five innings. Leading the Elks offense in this game was Abe Herchenbach who led the way with two hits for Elkhorn hitting out of the two hole. Leading the Raider offense was Jacob Eckert who drove in a team high three runs on one hit, and also scored a run himself. Logan Baumgartner also had a outstanding day at the plate as he rcorded four hits, which included a double and triple, and drove in one run. Game two was all Viroqua as they took down Medford with a score of 6-2. Viroqua lead a balanced offensive attack as Myles Frye, Kevin Lendosky, and Tyler Quackenbush each had an RBI, and Casey Kowalczyk recorded two hits.
