|THE COMMUNITY ACTION FAMILY CENTER||https://www.communityaction.us/family-center|
The Family Center continues to mostly operate remotely with some on-site services (family support, diaper distribution, free clothing area) now available by appointment. |THE CENTER FOR SELF-RELIANCE FOOD PANTRIES||https://www.communityaction.us/food-pantries||Center for Self-Reliance: Open at 156 Main Street, Greenfield. Parking available in back at Wells Street Parking Lot. Open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday 11 am to 4 pm, Wednesdays 4 pm to 7 pm. Operating as a “choice pantry” where you are welcome to come inside and choose the foods the work for your households tastes and needs. Prepared bags of food available for quick curbside pickup for those who prefer (custom made bags available for households with dietary restrictions or preferences). Online ordering is now available! Center for Self Reliance - West County Emergency Food Pantry: Open every Wednesday 11 am to 4pm at 51 Maple Street, Cowell Gym, Basement Level, Shelburne Falls. Operating drive thru pantry in the back of the gym parking lot. Custom made bags available for households with dietary restrictions or preferences. Now delivering to Shelburne and Buckland residents. |COMMUNITY RESOURCES & ADVOCACY||https://www.communityaction.us/community-resources-advocacy||Community Resource & Advocacy staff continue to answer the Information & Referral line Monday - Friday 9 - 4 and provide referrals for supportive services and schedule phone appointments for health insurance, SNAP, and financial assistance for utility and rent arrears. 413-475-1570|
|HEALTHY FAMILIES||https://www.communityaction.us/healthy-families||Healthy Families staff continue providing ongoing support to participants through virtual visits. Referrals for young first time pregnant and parenting moms and dads (under age 21) can be submitted through the on-line form available on our website or by calling the listed program numbers. We cover Franklin County and the North Quabbin region as well as Hampshire County and the towns of Chester and Ludlow.|
|HEAD START & EARLY LEARNING PROGRAMS||https://www.communityaction.us/head-start-early-learning-programs||Programs for pregnant women and children, birth - 5 in Franklin, Hampshire and Western Hampden Counties|
Our full-day, full year and extended day sites are open for on-site services for infants, toddlers and preschoolers (Orange, Turners Falls, Greenfield, Northampton, Amherst, Westfield and Family Child Care). Home visiting programs continue to provide services remotely. We are also enrolling children into our new Head Start at Home program that provides FLEXIBLE virtual learning with experienced and caring Head Start staff!
All program options provide:

• Interesting and meaningful parent development and leadership opportunities
• Making connections with other parents and staff
• Connections to community resources
At HSELP, the ongoing health and safety of children, families and staff are our top priority! We have very stringent health and safety protocols in place and our systems, training and early childhood COVID-19 curriculum all work together to provide emotionally responsive care.

|FUEL ASSISTANCE||https://www.communityaction.us/fuel-assistance||Our Fuel Assistance Program is open and serving participants. We are unable to accept walk-in or in-person appointments. Applications can be taken over the phone. All needed documents can be mailed to 377 Main Street, Greenfield, or left in the drop box outside of 393 Main Street, Greenfield. We are continuing to certify applications, authorize deliveries, and pay vendors. The deadline for appications has been extended to May 28, 2021. |ENERGY EFFICIENCY||https://www.communityaction.us/electric-efficiency||All Energy Efficiency Programs are actively at work including weatherization and electrical efficiency auits. The electrical efficiency audits are performed remotely with a phone call from out trained technicians. All Weatherization work is performed by trained staff who observe PPE and processes. |HEATING REPAIR PROGRAM||https://www.communityaction.us/heating-system-repair||Our Heating Repair/Replacement Program is open and processing participants by phone only. When necessary and safe, we perform in-home assessments of heating systems. 413-376-1115|
|VITA FREE TAX ASSISTANCE PROGRAM:||https://www.communityaction.us/freetaxassistance||Free tax prep by an IRS Certified Tax Preparer. Receive 100% of your refund quickly and easily. Trained VITA volunteers will prepare and e-file your taxes for FREE and determine if you qualify for special tax credits that increase your refund to help you save more of what you eared. Call or go online to schedule your appointment with Community Action Pioneer Valley. 413-376-1136. VITA Tax Preparation hours are by appointment only. Taxes are prepared virtually and over the phone Monday through Thursday evenings from late January through April.|
|WIC||https://www.communityaction.us/wic||WIC is now holding online appointments instead of in-person visits. We are following the guidance from our funding source, USDA. If you are concerned about your WIC appointment for any reason, please call us for assistance. We will do our best to help all families navigate services. 413-367-1160|
|YOUTH & WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMS||https://www.communityaction.us/youth-programs||Due to concerns around the COVID-19 virus and directives from the State of Massachusetts, Community Action Youth Programs has suspended in-person group programming. All individual services are being provided remotely, as our staff is working off-site at this time.|
