No. 4 Lockport jumped out to an early lead in the top half of the first inning. Back to back singles from 2023 Joey Manzo and Black Hawk JC commit Griffin Brown got the inning started. Nazy commit Victor Izquierdo brought home a run with a fielder’s choice. Anthony Martinez followed with a single and Lucas Pajeau drew a two out walk after Izquierdo was thrown out stealing third. Caden Miller grounded a single past the first basemen to drive in another runner to make it 2-0. Lockport scored one run apiece in the third and fourth inning. In the fifth inning, Eastern Florida State College commit Matt Merk came off the bench and lined a two out single back up the middle to score two runs for a 6-0 lead. Sandburg would score three runs in the six to cut the lead in half. Singles from Tyler Skrabis, Jeremy Johnson and Jason Sullivan loaded the bases for the Eagles.With one out Jake Liskiewicz and Matt Morsovillo both drew walks to bring home a run.
