|SL||Apple has released iTunes 12.6.3 with support for iOS 11. The version is meant for enterprises that still need the version which contains the app store that was removed from the most recent version of iTunes.|

|SL||Due to slow development in the VR market, Nokia announced it's stopping work on its Ozo VR camera and laying off 310 staff positions. Cuts will be across Finland, the UK and the US. |SL||Today Nvidia announced the Drive PX Pegasus, a new embedded computer desgined for Level 5 autonomous driving, which refers to a fully-autonomous system that expects the vehicle's performance to equal that of a human driver. The board will feature two as yet unannounced AI-ready GPUs, powered by an octocore ARM processor, among other specs. Nvidia claims the Drive PX Pegasus will be capable of 320 trillion operations per second with a combined memory bandwidth of 1TB per second. Dev kits for the new board will be available in the second half of 2018.|
And Velodyne, which makes the industry standard HDL-32/64 LiDAR sensor announced it's upping its LiDAR sensor production capacity by more than 400%. Production rate at its 200,000 sq/fr Megafactory has been ramped up and the company has doubled its head count.
|PB||Hulu announced Monday it's ordering four new original esports series from ESL, a network creating original content like reality series and documentary series focusing on the world of eSports.|
Shows include a debate show called Player V. Player, a documentary series following the team Immortals called Bootcamp, a chat show called Defining Moments and a recap show called ESL Replay.
|SL||Microsoft has begun rolling out its Cortana Assistant for Skype on Android and iOS. New features include allowing Chat users to ask Cortana for basic info on flights, weather, and directions, as well as pop up contextual responses for event-based chat conversations. |
The company also annouced that the SDK for the Windows 10 Fall Creators Update is now available. The update brings new features to Microsoft’s Mixed Reality experience as well as a new design language called Fluent Design as well as new features for monetizing apps and games. According to Geek Wire, the actual operating system will be released to Windows users next week.
oh, and Microsoft has officially rebranded the Windows Store as the Microsoft Store.
|PB||YouTube announced it has banned "bump stock" videos demonstratting how to modify semi-automatic firearms to fire more quickly as part of its expanded community guidelines.|
A YouTube spokesperson stated the change now includes those videos under its prohibition against "harmful and dangerous content" in light of the mass shooter in Las Vegas using similar modifications.
|SL||The Office of the Inspector General reports that the US Postal Service is working with the University of Michigan to develop an Autonomous Rural Delivery Vehicle with plans to have it operational on 28,000 rural routes by 2025. The vehicles would be semi-autonomous, letting the mail carrier sort and deliver mail to roadside boxes, but being able to take control of the vehicle when needed. Researchers will finish a a prototype by the end of 2017, with a planned 10-vehicle pilot fleet in 2019.||https://www.wired.com/story/postal-service-office-self-driving-mail-trucks/|

| Wells Fargo announced today that more than 40 percent – or over 5,000 of its ATMs – will now allow customers to perform transactions using NFC, the “tap and pay” technology that powers mobile wallet systems like Apple Pay, Android Pay, and Samsung Pay, and Wells Fargo’s Wallet for Android app.
NFC-ready ATMs will feature a “contactless symbol” decal on the front. After holding their NFC device customers near a compatible ATM customers will be asked for their PIN code to complete access.
