3	Note: For entry onto the IB Diploma Programme at the Sixth Form Centre, students are expected to achieve a minimum of 5 grade C/4s at GCSE level or equivalent from a range of subjects, to include English Language and Maths. To do the IB, you must choose a subject from each of groups 1 – 6. You should choose 3 Higher Level subjects and 3 Standard Level subjects. The Higher Level subjects should be those that you wish to study in more depth. Individual subject entry requirements are shown below.

10		Ab initio (beginner) Spanish	No previous study is required, & you cannot study ab initio Spanish you have above a B grade in GCSE Spanish.

12	Group 3 Individuals and societies	Business and Management	C in GCSE Business Studies if taken	C in GCSE Business Studies if taken	You do not need to have studied any of these subjects before but if you have then a minimum of a C in the GCSE is required

23	Group 5 Mathematics	Mathematical Studies	C/4 in GCSE Maths		This course is only available at standard level, and is an accessible course at approximately GCSE level.
24	Group 5 Mathematics	Mathematics	B (or equivalent) in GCSE Maths	A/7 in GCSE Maths	Higher Maths is a challenging course suitable for mathematicians who are considering careers where their maths skills need to be at a high standard.

27		Another Group 2, 3, or 4 subject, at either Standard or Higher Level			This option allows students to study a second science, language or humanity. E.g. a potential doctor can study a second science here.
