Invoice Template Instructions

Step 1: Enter your Logo or Business Name

Step 2: Enter all of your client and invoice information

Step 3: Enter your invoice items, your hour totals, and rate

Step 4: Double check that the total adds up.

Step 5: Add your contact information at the bottom

Step 6: File > Download as > PDF Document. Select Portrait orientation. Remove gridlines.

Client Sheets Instructions (Client A, Client B, Client C, Client E...)

Step 1: Rename the client sheets with your client's names ("Client A" becomes "Bob's Windows")

Step 2: On the client sheet, enter in your corresponding info. This is where you should track all of your hours and tasks. You can input at much or little time as you want.

Step 3: Don't edit the highlighted column. These columns are automatically calculated based on the information you enter on the sheet.

Step 4: As you enter your info, the data will be added to the client totals sheet.

Pro Tip: You can connect services like Rescue Time or Toggl with Zapier or IFTTT to track your time and automatically populate a sheet in this workbook.

Client Totals Instructions

Step 1: The information from you client sheets will automatically be added here so you can see a running total of hours and money.

Step 2: To add more client rows, copy the formulas in each row and fill in the corresponding info. The formula needs the sheet name and cell to pull in your desired info

Invoice Tracker Instructions

Step 1: This one is more manual! After creating an invoice, enter the info here to keep track of it. Due date is automatically created based on invoice date. Once the invoice is paid, just delete the amount out of "Outstanding Amount"

Step 2: If you have any outstanding balances, check to see when the due date is. If the due date has passed, it usually just takes a friendly email reminder about payment.
