4	👋 The goal of this spreadsheet is to show you the costs involved in running Assemble, the first high school hackathon in San Francisco since the pandemic ran by Hack Club. We hope this will help future hackathon organisers prepare for their events. As a note, Assemble was different to a traditional high school hackathon in a couple ways. The key ways in which it differed are as follows: 1) We offered incredibly large travel stipends (up to $750). 2) Assemble was a 42 hour event, whilst most HS hackathons are 12 or 24 hour events. (this meant 2x the number of meals, etc) 3) The team was not based in SF & therefore had costs to travel to event. The categories associated with these three points are marked with a * below.
