Attached to photo P-389 was a letter addressed to Mrs. Nord, from "Ruth Palmer Ruth (Mrs. F.H)." Within this letter, Mrs. F.H states that the photograph was staged by Louis Baus around 1917 or 18, not 1860. Letter is currently paper clipped to the photograph within the archival envelope.

9	VF01-05			Palmer Family on the Palmer Farm Milking a Cow	Baus, Louis			Warrensville Township -- Farms	2 b&w photographs mounted one on the front, and one on the back of a cardstock. Both photographs are similar and feature three adults, one child, and one figure whom seems to be a child of color. All figures are engaged in the milking process of a cow. No written description accompanies either photographs.	Paper	5.6 x 6.75 inches	Cardstock falling apart		Dimension of the 2 photographs on both sides of the cardstock = 5 x 7 inches. Found in archival folder titled, "Baus Photos, 1. Sheep - Staged!, 2. Cows, 3. Extra prints East + Center Families." Photograph seems to be connected to another photo reproduction found in the same folder, P-389 (with written record addressed to Mrs. Nord from Mrs. F.H), but features a cow milking experience rather than a sheep herding experience. A small infant or child of color accompanying the family may be of interest to researchers.
