I love the fit! I would consider shortening the straps a little in the future due to garter stitch potentially growing.

I looove it so much!! The shape version adapts perfectly to my body, so happy with the final piece!!

I believe I got the recommended gauge of 19 stitches and 27 rows
I made no modifications. I strictly followed the pattern
I think adding a couple inches to the straps (like you put) would have have made the fit better as it kind of rides up in the front but other than that it fits great.

Fits great! I am between sizes and might consider longer straps to accommodate that next time.

I mentioned checking gauge including a garter stitch section in making the swatch early in the chat because on mine in the end (and I can see on most others), their central garter section rises in the middle belly from the tension difference, so I think you should either mention it as part of the design feature or caution it in the initial notes on pattern. I was aware of it on my first one, so knitted the garter sections loosely, but it wasn't enough to compensate as I was trying to make it even across the bottom. On my second one I too am reminding myself, but on future ones I may try holding those stitches on a larger needle and knit them. I think on larger sizes and more cropped versions it might be more exaggerated, which some people may love if you say its a design feature. As I said before this isn't a criticism because you know I think the pattern is adorable, but merely letting you know my thought as you asked.

Love it! (I did technically size up based on pattern recommendation just based on personal experience/being very particular about fit for my body type)

I used cotton fingering weight yarn held double, hand-dyed by the.yarn.elf
412yds or 377m (I have calculated and substracted the 56g of yarn i used for the extra 3") the yardage give is as per your pattern 4.5mm or US 7
19 stitches and 27 rows in Stockinette in the round
I increased the length of the body.. the pattern recommends 9" for my size and i did 12"
I went with less negative but it fit perfectly for what i like and wear.. the back is so perfect and every sits perfectly where is is supposed to.. usually since cotton is heavier than the other bases, it does pull down the garment and it did that in this top too, but that didn't bother me because the initial fit was perfect and a little stretch was expected..

38"3ShapingStrapsI used cotton DK, hand-dyed by yarnamore.in301yds or 275m (in know it is very less, but I guess that could be because I did shaping and straps, both required lesser Knitting)4.5mm19sts * 25rowsNo modifications.. followed the pattern to the T..
I did the shaping and it hugged my body so good.

49"7No ShapingStrapsBarnyard Knits Merino/Nylon finger held double 1333 yards for longer length. I would have only used 962 yards of fingering held double for pattern length US 7

Made the body 4" longe, straps 1" shorter
I love the fit. It would have been an extremely cropped crop though if I would have made it to the pattern length. I wondered why the body length was shorter for the larger sizes than the smaller sizes? My body length already gets shorter in the front because of my bust size. I see that some of the size difference is accounted for in the armhole depth but that also makes the V neck of the tank plunge even lower. Just a thought I had while I was knitting the tank.

A note from MC: I wanted to include this note as a great point for those with larger busts! The pattern was graded to CYC standards, and traditionally, average torso length decreases (slightly) in relation to bust circumference. I've had this discussion with a lot of people, and it seems counterintuitive, but that's what the numbers say! HOWEVER, every body is unique, so feel free to add or remove as much length as needed to get the fit you want! Those that carry a large part of their bust circumference in the front of the body may want to add extra length. And if you have questions, reach out!
