CREDIT REPORT
3
Everyone should get their credit report annually from the three major credit reporting agencies: Transunion, Equifax, and Experian. You can request a copy of your credit report by going to AnnualCreditReport.com. A good habit is to request a report every four months, rotating the three agencies, so that you only request one report per year from each of the agencies. Please review it carefully to confirm that there are no errors, and that you have not been a victim of identity theft. The free copy of your credit report does not contain your credit score. Any of these three agencies sells your rating to you.

4
Once you have your report, review it carefully. 75% of these reports contain errors, which make your rating lower than it should be. If you find errors in your report, use the mechanism offered by the agency on its page to correct any errors you find.
5
Credit bureaus will charge you for your credit score. However, ask your bank or credit card companies if they offer this service for free. You can also get your credit score from various online applications, free of charge.
