Cryptobranchus alleganiensisHellbender, Ozark and EasternMaître de l'enferAmphibianPrimarily the Appalachian region (southern New York to northern Georgia) and also in Kentucky, Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, and Missouri.A decrease in this species is due to humans moving rocks, and/or using rocks to build formations in rivers and streams which is where Hellbenders reside.Rocks in and around rivers are important habitats for salamanders, macroinvertebrates, fish and more. In addition, when you move these rocks, you can change the flow of a stream an increase sedimentation, which may change what can survive there.
Does not occur in Canada - ASW

Ambystoma 'unisexual complex'Unisexual Mole SalamanderAmbystoma unisexuéAmphibians/ amphibiensONThis species is not identifiable from A. jeffersonianum or A. laterale from photos. I would suggest also adding A. laterale to this list as well to ensure the species is properly obscured. There is a possible taxonomy change coming for this group as well. -cs
I strongly support the first comment. Would consider also in southern Ontario, adding A. maculatum, particulalry because these species share, at many locations, a common breeding pool/pond - pmp

I would add all owl species across the country to reduce the impact by photographers.
I agree, there was a family of Great Horned Owls locally that were unmercifully observed and haunted by photographers. Barred Owls seem to be the only ones that aren't fussed by people and dogs walking in their neighbourhood.
I agree - all owls in all of Canada as per birding protocol.
eBird hides the location of Northern Hawk-Owl and Great Grey Owl across Canada (globally, in fact). At the very least, they should be added here to avoid undermining that.
