PURPOSE: To confirm that the horse demonstrates correct basics, is supple and moves freely forward in a clear rhythm with a steady tempo, accepting contact with the bit. All trot work may be ridden sitting or rising, unless stated. Halts may be through the walk.RIDER #6108

Medium walk
Regularity and quality of walks; reach and ground cover of free walk allowing complete freedom to stretch the neck forward and downward; straightness; willing, calm transitions; bend and balance in corner 6212wide hands pulling back are not the correct aid for stretch, horse lacks stretch but walk rhythm is correct

Elegant horse with good gaits. Rider needs to develop softer connection and allow horse to reach over the back more. Work on geometry in serpentines- ride them like 3 20m circles and be sure that horse is straight over centerline so that changes of bend are more supple. Use more correct aids to encourage horse to honestly stretch and reach for connection in both free walk and stretchy circle. Again, video quality makes judging a little difficult.
