generalisation, black culture, identity, black representation, media, marginalised groups
dumas lets you move within your own own quick and weighted judgment. She illustrates how we often lean on stereotypes when we look at certain groups and how the image in the media influences this. Groups that are emotionally distant from you are particularly difficult, because you will assume the image more quickly. I notice that I also do this unconsciously and it made me realize that I have to look more at the individual and start the conversation in order to get a connection with another person

This document illustrates and researces the paradox women experience when it comes to leadership positions and job roles, it illustrates a new vision on 'the glass ceiling' women still experience today. The most refreshing and interesting thing i've found in this document is the vision on leadership styles, wich shows how women which shows that women usually use the most effective and efficient form of leadership and men often the least effective, but that men are still seen as more capable leaders than women. Obviously, this leans on problematic stereotypes.
