1Chen Xiaohang, Fù Xuělíng and Wu Rumin
10-01-201903-12-2020Yiwu City, Zhejiang In June 2019, Wu Rinmin contacted Fù Xuělíng wating to purchase a pangolin (for food consumption). Xueling's husband then found a seller at a wet market and sold a live pangolin at RMB12,880. They then re-sold the pangolin to Rumin for RMB16,000. Police detained Chen Xiaohang (the seller) in late August, and Rumin turned himself over in September. They were all charged for the illegal selling and purchase of endangered wildlife, and were sentenced on 12 March 2020. Xiaohang was sentenced to 9 months in jail, while Xueling and Rumin were sentenced to 7 months with a year probation each. They were all fined RMB10,000 (USD$1,400)

2Wu Wencai10-18-201903-11-2020Dongxing City, Guangxi
In September 2019, Vietnamese citizen Wu Wencai tried to collect a bag at the Dongxing Town trade region next to Beilun River (which lies between Gaungxi and Vietnam). The bag was thrown from the other side. Wencai was caught by authorities and two pangolins were found inside the bag. 3Zou Qingxi and Xiangqiang11-24-20182-19-2020Jinhua City, Zhejiang From August to October 2018, Zou Qingxi and Xianh Qing sold and couriered five pieces of pangolin scales online, at RMB1,000. The scales were from an African pangolin. They also sold rhino horns and ivory products, alleged to be fraudulent or fake. They were charged with illegal sales of wildlife and fraud, and were sentenced on 19 February 2020. 56 months jailtime, RMB80,000 fine (USD$11,290)

4Bao Anduan10-04-201902-18-2020Yunnan In July 2019, Bao Anduan sold two pangolin scales at RMB3,600. Authorities searched her house and found other wildlife products, including four Slender Loris', three Barking Deer, civet, 37 squirrels and 57 birds. The pangolin's blood was used for soaking rice as "Chinese medicine" and its meat was used for making soup and milled as a powder.
