11/12/2015 21:28:30Stefan (Stefan)38987.5Stogie appears to be tightly rolled, yet the cap peeled off just from sitting... I guess that might be construed as a positive since I now don't have to cut it as the current cold draw is quite fine.92.5Wrapper aroma is smoky and a bit maneurish. The aroma coming from the foot is sublime, exhibiting notes of gingerbread and well-cured tobacco reminiscent of the Fuente Anejos. Cold draw also exhibits gingerbread notes, something I have never encountered outside of the Fuente lines.87.5MediumLightStarts off with notes of cocoa which are very soon replaced by a bright flavor profile driven by vegetal flavors hinting of green leaves and of fresh blossoms, backed by medium+ acidity. In the background there are also hints of fresh oak, white pepper, and thyme. Seems to be burning relatively fast, at the light end of medium-bodied, thus making for a pretty good smoke output that's never overwhelming. The vegetal notes tone down toward the end of the first third being replaced by very mild notes of cream and wood, and perhaps some mushroom hints too.87.5MediumLightThe second third introduces notes of cocoa beans and more body to the smoke. The cocoa soon subsides to the background while not being replaced by anything noteworthy in the foreground. A quite understated smoke during this second act.87.5MediumMediumThe beginning of the last third brings the cocoa to the forefront again, together with more creaminess that is particularly noticeable on the finish. As the smoke progresses, it reveals more defined notes of wood and some green steminess. The stogie seems to be at its most focused during this final stage, finishing quite creamy.92.5No problems with the draw, but the loose cap that came off of its own willing was unfortunate to say the least.92.5Even burn that was seemingly a bit fast.85Solid construction plagued by a loose cap and a wrapper that unraveled a bit at the head.87.5An average smoke overshadowed by some construction issues.60

11/16/2015 6:02:18Gregg (McGreggor57)38990A nicely colored caramel wrapper with a bit of tooth to it. The cap is well applied and minimal veins are present.90Traces of tobacco and leather coming of the cigar with the leather more pronounced on the cold draw.87.5MediumMediumA little peppery coffee on the finish over predominately leather for the first inch or so. Eventually a well balanced cedar develops. I'm not really getting a lot of flavors, but those present are working well together.87.5MediumMediumThe cedar comes to the front as some floral notes develop on the finish. A bit of leather remains adding a creaminess to the profile. Tons of smoke enhances the experience.87.5MediumMediumCedar and floral gives way to an increasing leather. A little chocolate now finds its way into the mix. Some back and forth in the balance of these flavors finish up the third. 90Near perfect at times and a little too open at other times.90Is there such a thing as too much smoke? If so, this one borders on it...although I'm not complaining. 87.5While the binder remained intact, the wrapper cracked and split during most of the smoke. 87.5This one was a bit one dimensional for my liking, although the flavors presented were solid and well balanced. The glimpses of coffee and chocolate were encouraging but never developed enough to add to the profile. A good cigar for the golf course.75

11/17/2015 15:40:26Steve (ThaGreatWazoo)38992.5This was a really nice looking cigar. Had a nice clean wrapper, a well-managed cap, and very minimal veins throughout. Nice soft brown color with what appeared to be one solid leaf. 95There was a really nice floral aroma coming off of the cigar. It almost was so sweet to the point where it smelled like potpourri.92.5MediumMediumInitially, the first couple puffs had a strong char finish. However, once the cigar started to go there was a real nice smoky oak almost campfireish flavor profile. The retrohale was crisp and the further the cigar got, a light leather finish started to form.92.5MediumMediumThe 2nd 3rd continued where the first third left off at. There was still a nice oakey aroma and flavor profile coming off of the stick. Slight hints of a leather still presented themselves. The retrohale picked up slightly in strength and provided a little heat to the senses. 90MediumMediumThe final third picked up an overall harshness. The leather vanished and the oak gave way to a lot of heat coming off of the end. There was no real complexity that was taking place, just the heat affecting the end of the cigar.92.5There was a nice draw to the cigar, which led me to believe it was well created. It was nice to just cut light and go.90The burn was really good as well. There was not much runoff and there was very little relights. The burn was not razor sharp, but never hindered the experience.90 Another really nice cigar. There was a nice wrapper and a clean foot and cap. Again, nothing over the top or extraordinary, but just a clean firm cigar.90This cigar was very good in my opinion. The overall oakiness coupled with the smoke coming off the cigar was quite nice and reminded me of sitting around the campfire. Kind of created a harsh bitter finish, however overall really nice cigar to smoke. Grab some of these with your favorite cocktail and enjoy.72

11/18/2015 20:46:21Jack (Jack_H)38992.5A damn good looking toro with what appears to be triple cap and a total lack of blemishes on the exterior. 87.5A pretty light aroma with a touch of nuttiness if anything. 70Mild-MediumLight-MediumTight draw a little bit of a harsh flavor off the bat. Very little harsh smoke is being produced. After 5 minutes I'm still really fighting the totally plugged cigar. This is the worst draw I've come across in ages and the first time I have ever rated a third as unsmokable. 77.5MediumMediumThe draw has loosened a bit but not really significantly. It had developed to a recognizable flavor with a kind of nutty oaky flavor. It's been 30 minutes of fighting this draw, and in any other situation I would have tossed this much earlier. 80Medium-StrongMediumThe draw has opened up and the cigar is now smokable. Unfortunately it's been 45 minutes and the force I've had to puff with has made this cigar disappear and burn really quickly. This has made the flavors really harsh creating a pretty bad smoking experience. 75The draw was terrible. I don't mean to rip a cigar but I was really frustrated at the fact that I could barely smoke this cigar for a majority of it. The burn was surprisingly smooth considering how fast the cigar smoked.
90The burn was surprisingly smooth considering how fast the cigar smoked.
77.5I can't give it a passing grade as it was clear there were quality control issues with this cigar.80I am hoping to write this off as a n outlier but this was a very in enjoyable smoking experience. Regardless of if this is a one time thing this is enough for me to not be tempted to smoke this again.
