CleanserCOSRX Low pH Good Morning Gel CleanserFullTWNoN/AN/AWas a great starting cleanser when first initially dabbled into skinscare/asian beauty. However, now, the cleanser feels mildly too drying for my dehrydated skin. Product does have a little bit of tingling sensation because of tea-tree (?). I probably won't repurchase this, it feels kind of overhyped. There's no real reason why I am throwing this away aside from it existing in my life for a little too long. I don't think it really does anything that really stands out to me. $9.25

CleanserHada Labo Tokyo Gentle Hydrating Cleanser with Hyaluronic Acid CreamFullIPNo06/09/201912/1/2019Extremely moisturizing. Skin doesn't feel dry after using it however it does take a bit of work to get the suds off the face. If it gets into the eye, it burns. No smell. Really nice to use as a second cleanser! Though I have nothing to compare it to right now. My face is slightly tight afterwards but not sure if it's because my face is dehydrated with damaged skin barrier (definitely what I'm thinking) or it's just not a fit product for me.$11.60

CleanserKOSE SOFTYMO Speedy Cleansing OilFullCYes6/30/201905/05/2020Feels very nice. Easy to remove from skin. Not sure how much makeup is actually broken down because I haven't worn much heavy makeup. Primarily use to get rid of my layers of sunscreen. Comes out as liquidy but becomes an oil base pretty quickly. Works well with waterproof eyeliner and mascara though! I love how I can feel some of my sebum come out sometimes (mildly gross) but it comes out in bumps... which makes my face feel extra clean!$9.85
5
Cleanserinnisfree Blueberry Rebalancing CleanserFullIPNo12/3/2019Damn. I came in with such HIGH expectation for this product but... it was kind of just meh. This is in the first two or so day of using it. The cleanser has a citrusy smell to it but also mildly plastic? I'm not sure if I just have a bad one but it was definitely not what I was expecting out of a face wash. The face wash itself was sub-par; it is definitely not as hydrating as the Hada Labo I was using. The consistency is mildly creamy but kind of has a water burst so it doesn't feel like it really lathers? Overall, not super impressed

TonerPixi Glow TonicFullCMaybeN/AN/AFeels like it finishes pretty fast -- it smells pretty nice though. One of my first exfoilating AHA toners. In terms of actual skin, not sure what major difference has been made. It does make the skin feel clean and refeshed after use, which is why I will probaby repurchase. $15.00
7
TonerNeutrogena Alcohol Free TonerFullCNoN/AN/AOne of the first toner ever used. Feels like there is no real difference in using this toner. It doesn't really feel like anything besides water going on the face. This partically did not dry out the skin and removed any excess makeup still on my skin after wipes + cleanser did not do so it was decent anddid some type of work (back when I was a noob)$8.00

TonerCORX AHA/BHA Clarifying Treatment TonerFullTWNo4/20/2018This did NOTHING for my skin. I also found out that it was primarily 0.1% for both AHA and BHA ingredients later on. I felt like the Pixi Glow Tonic did a much better job exfoliating so will definitely not be repurchasing this. Yes, I still have it but not sure if I should just get rid of it now.$14.99

TonerThe Ordinary Glycolic Acid 7% Toning SolutionFullPNo9/20/2019This is so freaking cheap and it comes in such a HUGE bottle. No idea why it's called a toning solution since it doesn't even really adjust to the correct pH because it's an exfoliant product. Either way, I used this soooo much... and it might be the reason why my skin barrier is compromised at the moment, and why I'm dumping so much hydration stuff on. I used it every day, and it definitely dried my face out -- originally got this in substitute to the Pixi Glow Tonic, which is 5% Glycolic but for some reason... this has a much more powerful tingling sensation that I expected. I felt like it reduced the bumpiness on my skin, and some of the black/white heads buuuut, I think I will only do this once a week or as needed from now on. And in the future find something a little less intense. -- Actually, started using other Glycolic Solutions of similar percentage and it doesn't burn me... so I'm not sure what's up with this.

TonerIsntree Hyaluronic Acid TonerFullCYes10/12/201912/30/2019Damn this is a great toner. Initial thought on texture was that it is SLIMY, and it might cause the skin to be a little sticky afterwards. But this is definitely not the case! Glides on beautifully and does re-hydrate the skin after initial cleansing. Since almost ALL of my prior toners were actives with either BHA/AHA, this was surprising and is amazing. If my face feels tight, swiping this on does make it feel soo much better (either it is because of my shower/cleanser/not moisturizing enough that day). After a full week of using this product, I love it so much I'm using SO much of it. This will definitely be a restock product for me.10/2019
11
TonerLaneige Cream Skin RefinerFullPMaybe10/15/2019I love this product so much. It hydrates and gives the face such a nice glow, especially when I layer it with other toners. This product is mildly sticky which annoyed me at first but I outgrew it since it really helepd my skin look more plumped and dewy. I primarily use this in the morning!

So after using this a bit more, it seems like this product will cause some other products to foam up (Corsx snail mucin + Soon Jung Cica), which is really sad. But as long as it is fully absorbed into the face, it doesn't seem to be a problem. I might stop using this while I'm using the cica cream since it works beautifully with my Tatcha/Neutrogena face moisturizers.
12
TonerIsntree Clear Skin BHA TonerFullIPYes10/25/2019Started using this recently, planning to use it as a need-to/one a week basis for the gentle exfoliation. My skin was fine with the Stridex BHA but it did damage my skin barrier. This one didn't seem that way at all, and I do feel like it helped with cleaning out my pores! The product is only ~1%, which is pretty low but I don't think I need anything more than that. Product does not have a strong scent and does not sting. It actually feels like my skin is being cleaned while using this! Exfoliation really does work, and my sebum is definitely at bay when using this one or two times a week. During the California fire, I used this a lot more often and I believe it helped clean my skin as a third step!
13
EssenceROHTO Hadalabo Shirojun Premium LotionFullTWYes6/20/2019Extremely thin and watery (first AB 'lotion'). Takes about a minute to be absorbed into the skin. Feels a little bit tacky after it dries. It's supposed to help prevent sunspots. I feel like it has lighten my skin a bit but no major or drasticness. It might be that I needed to use it for a bit longer or my pigmentation are too strong lol1$14.99
14
EssenceCORSX Advanced Snail 96 Mucin EssenceFullIPNo10/13/2019Uuuugh. I kinda like it but kind of not. It is fairly hydrating but soooo slimy. The biggest downfall right now is that it will foam up/react with some products (eg. AHA/BHA products, and Laneige Refiner). Makes it super difficult to layer on top sometimes. Definitely a lot of trial and error, a little bit of freaking out. I'll have to use it a couple more times to make a complete and full verdict. Definitely have not fallen in love with it right away after five-ish days of usage.

After using this for a while, it's definitely a pass for me. Maybe I just overhyped myself as to what a miracle this product could be... but it really just was not that amazing. While it is like a light hydrator, it isn't anything special to me. That and how it would foam up really makes this product a pass for me in the future.

Actives111Skin VITAMIN C BRIGHTENING BOOSTERFullTWNo6/25/2019N/AReceived this for my Ipsy Glam Bag and I was suuuper excited because I really wanted to encorprate a Vit C into my routine. But holy this was such a let down. I didn't even see what % of Vit C in this product. For the price of this product, you can definitely get Skinceutical Vitamin C as it is significantly more well known than this. Vitamin C (sodium ascorbyl phosphate) is significantly lower on the list of ingredients, and much less research on this particular type of Vit C effectiveness. The fragrance + alcohol was way too much for me and my skin, even though I have pretty high tolerance for both. I couldn't even continue to use this, I feel like it would worsen my skin rather than improve it.
16
ActivesThe Ordinary Vitamin C Suspension 23% + HA Spheres 2%FullTWNo7/31/2019N/AI might not even bother to use this or finish it. Maybe give it away to a friend. This product is impossible to use in the morning even though most vit C recommends for morning usage. Super grainy, and could not get rid of the texture no matter what I do. This stings like hell too, no matter what I do. Which is interesting since I use the IOPE 23% now, and it doesn't phase me. Hated this product.
17
ActivesIOPE The Vitamin C23 FullCNo10/10/20191/20/2020Decided to try this before the favorite HG of many people, Melano CC. Mainly because this was significantly more expensive... and it would expire a lot faster. This is 23% with niancinamide and vitamin C. It does not burn unlike the 23% from TO. However, this product is ridicously sticky. Like my hand will stick to my face. I will probably not repurchase due to how sticky it is, and the price point. I prefer to use mine in the morning but have made this my nightly product instead. The bottle is a little small so we'll see how long it actually lasts.-- Didn't use this super consistently. It's too sticky in my opinion. Not a huge fan and didn't feel like it did anything
18
ActivesMelano CC Vitamin C Spot TreatmentFullIPYes10/13/2019Started using this because it was IMPOSSIBLE to use IOPE Vit 23 in the morning. I understand why this is most people's favorite's! The consistancy is beautiful and it melts into the skin pretty quickly. No sticky residue. It's not oily but it has a slick feeling too it. After about 10 minutes, it just sinks into the sink and gives a beautiful glow. This will be my morning active from now on!
19
SerumIt's Skin Hyaluronic Acid Moisture SerumFullIPNo10/24/2019Randomly picked up this product because I love HA. This has a scent to it, very soft, so I don't mind. However I'm not really sure if it really does anything. And from COSDNA, it seems like HA is one of the lower ingredients on the list... so I will probably try to use it up but it probably won't do anything to my skin. Alright, it's been about a week of using this and it has not done anything significant. I'm definitely not going to buy this but will try to use it up.

Eye CreamKiehl's Creamy Eye Treatment with AvocadoMiniIPYes8/22/2019First eye cream purchase so I might be biased, and also 23 at time of purchase. However this eye cream has done more for me than any under-eye silicon masks to depuff. The cream is a little hard to blend in, especially since I'm not trying to do anything besides pat with my ring finger. It is even harder when my face is wet or other products (eg. moisturizer) has not settled in completely yet. BUT end result is always amazing, it helps with the slight discoloration of my under-eye area, and makes the under-eye much more hydrated and so less thin looking. I really like how it looks, and feel like my eyes look brighter afterwards.

MoisturizerEtude House Soon Jung 5 Cica BalmFullCYes10/30/20192/19/2020Bringing this in because of the air polution due to the fires in California right now. My skin has been FREAKING out because of the polution. I've read that cica/centella is supposed to sooths your skin and moisturize it to help rebuild the skin barrier. I definitely really need this right now instead of my Tatcha because my skin is dry, red, and sensitive right now. On first initial application, it feels a little thick, almost as if it is some perscription topical treatment. Less is definitely more with this product (unless I want to purposely trying to slug up). It definitely does foam up with my Laneige Cream Refiner because I didn't let it settle down...

With a couple more days, I started using this at night and I really love it. My skin in the morning would feel amazingly soft and hydrated. It leaves a really nice glow and not too heavy. Texture is almost... almost like the Tatcha one but mildly more silicon-y but not quite like the Neutrogena Water Gel. I like it a lot, and feel like I can use this both in the morning and night. It really depends on how much you apply on your skin. As for calming down the redness and bumps on my skin... it did an AMAZING job. I had tons of red bumps on my skin due to the air quality, and it calmed down within a day of using this product and I did not change my routine up really.

Moisturizer (Day)Neutrogena Hydro Boost Hyaluronic Acid Hydrating Water Face Gel MoisturizerFullCMaybe7/31/201910/20/2019For a drugstore product, I feel like this is priced a little higher than I would like. I've had mixed experience with this product (sometimes it pills up with certain sunscreen/product) but overall it seems to work as advertised. It's not too heavy or too light. It sits on the face nicely, almost silicony? which is kind of good for makeup. But I feel like it stays looking like that for a little too long; since I want to do the natural look w/o foundation, I think I will rotate this out to find a better suited match. No wow factor; product has a mild scentJul 2019$16.97

Moisturizer (Day)Dr. Jart+ Cicapair Re-Cover (SPF40/PA++)FullTWNo10/10/19First attempt using it: holy crap it pilled so much and made my face look so bad. I don't know if I used too much or if I didn't wait for the previous layers to dry completely but it pilled SO BAD. It was like I didn't know how to put on BB/CC cream. It is not super easy to spread, and hard to control the actual tone. In the end it looked kind of splotchy and had pilling around the edges of the face. Ended up wiping all of it off and skipping this. Will try again another day before determining if it's a nope....

Second attempt, this time I let most of my products dry before layering this on. I also only used toners and went straight to this moisturizer instead of my essence or vit c. It goes on a lot better but I had to drastically reduced the amount to spread on my face AND had to dot some spots instead of just using it like a normal cream. Coverage is extremely light and just makes the face a little paler (darker skin tone would not work). It still kind of flakes on some parts of my face. All in all, not super impressed. Later in the day, it feels a little too heavy for my skin... might pass on this.

Moisturizer (Day)Tatcha Water CreamSampleCYes10/21/201911/16/2019(5 ml) A true water burst; little goes a loooong way with this product. Definitely feels hydrating on the skin and since a lot of people have talked about how this and the Neutrogena Water Gel is similar... I have to say they are but also not. Again, the other one is significantly more silicon-y and doesn't sink into the skin nowhere as fast. I feel like I use a lot less with this versus the Neutrogena one. With more usage, I feel like I am starting to like this A LOT more than the Neutrogena one... which makes me sad because of the price. But it looks beautiful on my skin where as the Neutrogena will give me of a more glossy look even after an hour. It is also much easier to blend into my skin.

I honestly hate that I really like this just because of how expensive it is. It sinks into the face a lot faster with less wait time. I think I might purchase this even though it is fairly more expensive. It saves a lot more time and it's extremely easy to apply sunscreen on top.
25
Moisturizer (Day)Belif The True Cream Aqua BombSampleCYes11/17/201612/24/2019(10 ml) First time using this product and initial experience is that it feels like an in between the Tatcha Water Cream & Neutrogena Hydroboost. I like this more than the Neutrogena for sure. The texture is a lot more watery than the Neutrogena but a little more silicon-y than Tatcha. I know I also mentioned this when comparing the Etude House Soon Joon Cica Balm BUT this one has the water burst that is similar to Tatcha and sinks into the skin a lot faster. The smell is a little medicated? nature-ish? I don't mind it! As for the moment, I am liking how it settles and feels on my skin. It might be a potential dupe for me to purchase instead of the Tatcha Water Cream.

Moisturizer (Night)CeraVe Moisturizing CreamFullCYesN/AN/AAs a first moisturizing item, it was decent. Personally it is a little too thick and leaves a greasy feeling in the morning. Can't layer makeup on top of it and pills easily. Personally felt no long term effects. For the price and how long it lasts, it's pretty good especially if skin is extremely dehydrated. On top of this, it uses great as a body moisturizer. This container also lasts forever, I swear lol2$13.53

Moisturizer (Night)SHISEIDO Bio-Performance Glow Revival CreamFullCYesN/AN/AI loved having this and use this. I managed to make my jar last as long as possible. Was so amazing on my skin during the night. Makes the face glow! And I actually noticed a decent amount of difference on my skin after using it, especially the moisturization. Back in college, my makeup would look AMAZING after using this product at night. Unfortunately it is fairly expensive but willing to try to buy in the future. There's a subtle soft smell, like flowers.2016$109.99

Moisturizer (Night)CeraVe PM Facial Moisturzing LotionFullTWNo9/20/201911/10/2019Bought this because of SCA, many people recommended it because it was a lighter version of the moisturizing cream. It is but it is a little too light. It has some benefits like HA and niacinamide which is supposed to help with shrinking pores and fade hyperpigmentation but I would much prefer to add those ingredients in a serum then use a heavier cream at night. Just personal preference! Haven't seen much difference.

While Cerave is pretty well raved, I honestly didn't see any difference in this. Not only that, it simply did not give me enough hydration for the night now that winter time is coming. I believe there is 5% Niacinamide in this? I could be wrong, but I started using this because of it to help with my pores and pigmentation. I tried for a month and couldn't bring myself to form a good opinion; I keep finding better things to use over this. So I ended up just giving this product away to a friend

Moisturizer (Night)Laneige Water Sleeping MaskFullIPYes10/12/2010Such an absolutely HG in terms of night moisturizer. It's super light weight but I still feel like it's doing something to my skin. I swear, this and in combination with the products I'm currently using makes my skin look like glass skin when I wake up. It's amazing. I've definitely tried other light-weight sleeping masks or water pack but this actually feels like something. And when I breathe, it doesn't feel warm (lol) which canhappen sometimes when I have a lot of cream on my face.

SunscreenBiore UV Aqua Rich Watery EssenceFullCNoN/AN/AWas an OG holy grail initially in 2014 or 2015. Sits perfectly well under makeup and easy to reapply without looking greasy. However in the newer version, currently Jul 2019, the formula seems to have a lot more alcohol so it feels extremely drying on current skin, also pilled a lot too. There is a strong citrus alcohol smell.22014 - 2015$11.00

SunscreenCOSRX Aloe Soothing Sun CreamFullCYesN/AN/AFinished this product and loved it! Feels very smooth when applied and looks great under the skin. Last a decently long. Even though there's alcohol, it doesn't feel drying on the skin -- infact have used it as a moisturizer/sunscreen combo because it feels so soothing. Will leave kind of a glowy cast but no white cast.$11.68
32
SunscreenShiseido Urban Environment Oil-free UV ProtectorFullCMaybeN/AN/AOne of the first sunscreened used. Leaves a mild-white cast but seems to fade after a while. Used in 2017, extremely expensive for a small bottle -- seems impossible to get every bit of sunscreen out. Looks great under makeup and spreads beautiful. There are just much better and cheaper alternatives.$35.00

SunscreenEtude House Sunprise Mild Airy Finish Sun MilkFullCYes8/11/201911/25/2019Love this sunscreen! Makes the skin glow a little bit, it does leave a mild white cast but nothing too obvious for my skin tone. Sunscreen apply very smooth, looks great under makeup. Only downfall is that it flakes a little bit when the moisturizer does not dry down before applying this sunscreen. Reapplication is nice but cuold make the skin feel a little tighter after the 3rd reapplication2$10.00
34
SunscreenEtude House Sunprise Mild Watery Light (SPF50+/PA+++)FullCNo06/09/2019N/ABought this the same time as the Airy one. I found that I liked the Airy version much better. This product seems to be like a chemical sunscreen (which I'm not against) but it pills up SO poorly against my skin, especially when I used the Neutrogena Water Gel. It's definitely more moisturizing than the Airy version but I wouldn't reach for this -- especially not for reapplication.
35
SunscreenALLIE Extra UV Perfect SPF50+/PA++++FullIP11/26/2019Beware of the white cast; I'm not even particularly tan or dark skin but the white cast is a bit obvious. However the silver lining is that about 15 minutes after application, it does seem to settle and go away. Texture is kind of runny and milky, which is my preferred texture for applying sunscreen. It feels very similar tot he Etude House Sun Milk except a little whiter (probably because it's PA++++ vs PA+++). This product was extremely expensive on the spectrum of sunscreens BUT it is a decent amount of product so I'm excited to see how long this last, especially since I'm using more in the winter. The one thing that I like this MORE than the Etude House Sun Milk is that it doesn't feel as drying on the skin!
36
MaskDead Sea Minerals Anti-Stress Clay Facial MaskFullTWNoN/AN/AUsed this a total of 2x. It is extremely drying on the skin and seemed to make my skin so tight that I can't even feel hydrated after layering multiple layers of moisturizer over my skin. Ultimately, it's so stripping I threw it away.
37
Maskinnisfree Jeju Volcanic Pore Clay MaskFullIP10/24/2019I've used a lot a lot of clay masks and most end up making me feel extremely dry after I rinse the clay off my face. I personally always felt that clay masks really does clean up my pores in conjunction with a BHA or AHA. But I always hated how tight my skin felt after using the clay masks even though I would slather on SO much moisturizer and hydrators. But this is the first mask that makes my face feel SO soft and yet not tight. It cleans my skin out just as well as any other clays. While yes, it is a little bit more expensive than many other clay masks, I will definitely come back and repurchase.

OthersCORSX Acne Pimple Master PatchFullCYesN/AN/AUsed these for quite a while and I honestly feel like it makes my pimples go away. I apply it after toner step, usually, and peel it off in the morning and see all the gunk on the pad. LOVE using this product for hormonal/random acne

OthersLaneige Lip Sleeping Mask (Grapefruit)FullIPYes10/09/2019Thought this was an overpriced vaseline type moisturizer but turned out to be way better than expected! In comparison with the Keihl's vaseline lip and the actual vaseline lip product, my lips actually felt moisturized when waking up. There isn't that flakey-ness that sometimes happen with covering chapped lips with vaseline, AND it smells amazing. I actually feel like this makes a much bigger difference than the other two.
