Chanukah Mivtzoim-Nursing Homes in NYC-Evening Menorah Lighting (Families)

Hey! Welcome to the Nursing Home Mivtzoim platform.

How to make your appointment:
1) Light blue boxes are slots that have not yet been filled. Yellow boxes are booked slots, and dark gray boxes mean that the time slot is not available.
2) If a box has a time written, then we have spoken to the nursing home and arranged for a visit. If it says "room to room" - that is a place where the yidden are not up to being gathered in a general room for a menorah lighting; rather, you would go around to visit, room to room.
Just write your name, and a way to reach you (cell phone or email address). Once you add your information, the box will turn yellow. This means that you will be visiting that home, on that night, to light the menorah.
3) If there is no time written, and also not "room to room", that means we have not confirmed an appointment with them yet. You are welcome to call the place yourself to arrange, and then mark it down. Once you have made your arrangements, reserve your slot by adding your name, time of appointment and email or phone number to the empty box.

Please keep in mind that once you make an appointment with a nursing home, the nursing home is expecting you at that time. In case of an emergency cancellation, be sure to be in touch with the nursing home.

1) We attempt to keep our information as up to date as possible. If you visit a nursing home and have updated information or notes that might be helpful to the next person, please send an email to mivtzoim@lubavitchyouth.org or a text/whatsapp to 845 393 1951
2) If you see a second name in parentheses, it means that the same location had a different name in the past. We include it for people who may be familiar with a location from previous years and would like to go back to the same location.

She is very accomodating. It's very helpful to call her beforehand. About 15 yidden. Yolanda will give you a list of Jewish patients. Go room to room to visit. They are not very high functioning (so can't schedule a program). No food allowed to be brought. Flowers are allowed.
